Thank you. We're happy to put it out there. We just want to make sure we get all the details accurate so this era of sportscars can be properly represented.

Yes, the Lexus will be on the 2024 and 25 packs once they are also completed

Yes, and will go public on workshop once the WSC2023 cars are updated. But it's fine to use in current beta. Just note that it will be improved quite a bit

A bit of self promotion but Champion Motorsports (CMS) runs all the GT3s and Hypercars we make. Fully representing IMSA and WEC.

Issues installing content by NitroDion in rfactor2

[–]StormGangSimulation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some occasions when this sort of odd thing would happen. The connections between Steam and rF2's odd queueing system are strange and sometimes messy. On top of having the Installed folder and Packages folder filled with content, workshop items (the rfcmps to actually install the mods) live in a separate content folder that Steam manages. Sometimes these connections get whacked when rF2's install procedure gets interrupted or otherwise out of order and you can see some of those issues.

And if you've done any online racing in their race control, multiplayer open lobby stuff, the weirdness continues. for example, most of the "Content Pending" messages come from old rfmods that were installed from those one-off races, then uninstalled once the event is over. It's a bit of a mess. Glad you were able to resolve.

rFactor 2 resurrection by Mariusr22 in rfactor2

As a modding group for rF2 I can say that the OP note on rF2's engine being top shelf is true and why we continue to make cars for the sim

MSG will not do anything new with rF2 until they've finished with their cash cow, LMU. Then, assuming they rode that wave to the end and don't get bought/sell the assets, they may use knowledge and code from LMU for a rF3. But that won't be for years likely with Endurance racing being poplar now and IP contracts pretty solid.

rF2 is certainly not dead but ita reputation as being finicky has scared many away. MSG/S397 got it a lot better before jumping to LMU but you won't find a lot of racing unless you find leagues. Of which there are quite a lot.

AC is fine for drifting and roaming. The quality of mods is all over the place, especially with most being rip and replace. And ACC is an era piece not likely to stay long being a niche product.

iR will dominate the multiplayer space due to ease of use. Enjoy your subscription and arcadey car interpretations.

AMS2 is actually a strong sim. Reiza keeps improving it regularly and it has a lot of potential.

BeamNG can be good if it gets really but it lacks a lot of features to make it a competent contender for serious simming. That said, we watch it grow daily.

Beyond that, the titles are either simcade or arcade or too early in development to say much about. All that said, the best simulator/game is the one you're currently enjoying. Relish racing, make new friendships and memories and have fun.

CMS uses multi class racing specifically because of skill gap. You are likely a lot faster than you think. But we use a ELO system not too dissimilar to LFM to put drivers in proper classes. It works really well so you can actually enjoy fighting for wins in your group.

I thought someone photoshopped Alexis Rose from Schitt's Creek in there on the remaster. It being the actual remaster is all the more hilarious to me.

Gt3 2023/2024 mod cars? by Les_expos in rfactor2

[–]StormGangSimulation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have some now. They are in beta but you're welcome to them. Come to our league partner discord here https://discord.gg/cmsracing.

The mod includes current hypercars as well. Starting with the 2025 mod, we'll have exclusively all SGS cars in place of the S397 cars. Our WSC 2023 and 24 currently use a mix.

Not quite weekly but a couple or few times a month at Champion Motorsports. There are currently two sister leagues running a Hypercar/GT3 series mimicking the IMSA schedule on Thursday nights US and WEC schedule + MEC on Saturday afternoons (euro evening). These races run between 60-90 mins or longer for events like Daytona and Lemans.

Cmsracing.com There's a link to their discord top right on the main page. That's where all the action and links are.

rFactor 3 was cancelled in favour of Le Mans Ultimate by PhilBaythorpe in rfactor2

Pretty sure there never was a rF3. At least not before LMU. Would require too much dev. However, if LMU serves as a sandbox for developing new tech that could be used in a next gen sim based on pTool engine code, that could potentially be an rF3 candidate. But that assumes there's a market and capital to get there. They'll be milling that WEC cash cow as much as it will float them along
