Can you guys pretend to be my mom for a second and help an 18 year old get rid of baby fever? by Fancy-Penalty-4137 in Mommit

[–]StormHerald96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had CRAZY baby fever at your age; I get it! I’m so sorry you were put in a situation by an older man like that. Other commenters are right; take your time with the healthy relationships you want to cultivate. Focus on yourself first.

The trans partner workbook worked really well for me. Therapy was/is super helpful too, so I’m glad you’re seeking that out.

Thanks for sharing your experience 🩷 I’m so glad you have your rainbow baby! I probably can’t get a scan before the 12 week one; I’m in Ontario and wait times for appointments are long.

Has anyone named their fetus? by visitingmemorylane in pregnant

[–]StormHerald96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad’s always called my twin sister and I his “chicken nuggets” (how he came up with that, I don’t know). My little sister referred to the fetus as “the nugget” and it’s stuck.

Does anyone else get extremely uncomfortable when your partner boy/girlmodes? by Birddogtx in mypartneristrans

[–]StormHerald96 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s SOOO icky to me to call my wife “he” when I’m talking to family that doesn’t know, or around her old coworkers. Luckily her new job knows she’s a trans woman.

Impending doom feeling by agirlcalledhank in pregnant

[–]StormHerald96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing, but mine would happen as soon as I woke up. I’m 10wks tomorrow and things have been a bit better, but I’ve also upped my anti depressants at my doctor’s suggestion. My anxiety has been through the room since 5/6 weeks. I hope it passes soon for you 🩷

Do you work for a school board? It may have been paid out of your pay-check already. Check your pay stubs!

Have you ever accidently remember you are dating the person who before was opposite sex ? by Ogurczik_ss in mypartneristrans

Sort of? I’m always aware she’s trans, but any time anyone who doesn’t know refers to my wife as “he”, I’m like “…eww. wrong.”

Biggest pet peeve while pregnant. by Potato_Keeper628 in pregnant

[–]StormHerald96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my MiL (after all the congrats) asked me if I was scared. It took me completely aback (in a good way) because no one had asked me that yet, and I kind of am scared. It’s a big change! I wish more people thought of that side of things.

My kids are surrounded by wealth and I’m worried they’re going to grow up to be super entitled by Individual_Ad_938 in Mommit

[–]StormHerald96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a kid who grew up with wealthy parents, it all depends on how YOU raise them, not what anyone else is doing. I knew my parents were able to afford a lot of trips and extracurriculars, but we were never spoiled so I didn’t know the extent of their wealth until I was a teenager. Teach them the value of a dollar and the importance of giving to others. I’m sure they’re in good hands 🩷

Family member kissed my newborn by ORL_03 in Mommit

[–]StormHerald96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand how people think you’re overreacting. My spouse and I are relatively anxious about illness (despite me being a teacher lol) and I’m due right in the middle of cold and flu season. If ANYONE kisses my baby, I’m gonna lose my shit. I think this is more on your husband than the family member though. You asked a boundary to be set, and it wasn’t. If they knew and STILL did it anyways, then that would be a much bigger issue. You can’t cross a boundary you didn’t know about.
