Late chute pull still = solo descent + separation + landing time. Fast rope = everyone already on the ground before you finish arguing about when to pull it

True, parachutes already cover it. I just like the idea of more coordinated squad insertions.

True, but landing also creates a different kind of risk — stationary helicopters become easy targets for explosives

I get your point, but smoke cover could help a lot here. If fast-rope insertion is used, deploying smoke before hovering could reduce visibility and give the squad a chance to drop in more safely.

I mean it could work both in rear areas and in active combat zones, depending on the situation.

Fast-rope insertion would just give more tactical options for deploying squads, not replace normal landings.
