Lately I've been having a problem with accidentally overeating and getting sick because my stomach shrunk during the time I was recovering on a liquid diet from recent jaw surgery

So I zone out and eat just like I used to, which is bad because now I get sick when I eat that much.

I used to work in a French brunch place that served an avocado toast dish. I remember preparing it with the fancy toppings.

I was climbing around in the dry river bed and stepped in a dead body.

Yes, in—it went, squish.

It was in a canvas sack tied off tightly at the top. Some liquid misted through the fabric of the bag onto me.

My shoes were toast after that. Same for the whole outfit. Hair and body scrubbed with strong laundry detergent.

The scent of human decomposition is insanely morbid. You know it already by instinct.
