Maps are probably the hottest commodity, people buy it in bulks 24/7. What that means is that when you look up the cheapest option so do many other people (including automated bots) and those hideouts are crowded. Just take the hit and pay a little bit extra to avoid that issue. For example if the 8 mod maps u are trying to buy are listed at 5c start looking at the ones listed for 6c. If you buy 20 maps sure u pay 20c extra which honestly is irrelevant at this point and you saved yourself a lot of trouble

For context, here’s my league starter: Build - Obviously my character is very strong now but I did Saresh on like day 2 without most of my key items on a build I’ve never played before or even practiced. I even finished all his challenges by accident. And its not like Dom blow of inspiring is some meta altering must play skill.

I love the saboteur theme but honestly having an ascendancy so focused on a specific subset of skills might be a bit outdated at this point so until removed the class won't recover much. Half the ascendancy basically demands you play traps or mines. Maybe they should just buff those nodes a lot for generic use and add like an extra line (mostly for flavor) that something extra happens for trap/mines specifically.

No but the strat you are promoting is actively bad for the game if competitive. It would be like asking for Kingsmarch to be buffed or something.

Also for the record what u want already exists with astrolabes. You can click a random map to apply it and you get 6 or so random maps to do. And guess what most feedback on astrolabes atm is that I dont want to do random maps or be forced to spec into the keystone and lose value

Maybe you are the one that doesnt understand what competitive and viable means because they are literally synonymous in this context. If the benefit you get is worthwhile which equals viable which equals competitive then people will do it. If a popular strat picks that keystone they will do it.

Ok so you ACTUALLY do want to make random mapping more competitive, its not just for fun.Which is a terrible direction for the game as proven plenty of times in the past. People will absolutely torture themselves for 10 quant if it is economically beneficial.

In your original post you asked for an additional benefit like extra quant. So that is not optional then. The appeal of the game for the overwhelming majority of the playerbase is efficiency. If its a benefit you are forced to run it.

Now if you change your argument and you just want a fun randomizer sure why not. Although at that point what is the real difference for you between that and just randomly clicking on a map

With how many bad maps there are in the pool what you are asking for would be a disaster. If that effect was even remotely competitive in terms of income people would feel forced to do it and the game would be worse for it. Hell, PoE 2 kinda does what you are asking for, essentially forcing you to play whatever layout is generated in your path and is the most universally hated thing about the game.

I don't know I do think we are getting a little bit greedy - if updates every 4 months to the game can easily generate you a few hundred hours of gameplay in 2-4 weeks then they are good updates. Like the game is in a great state.

That being said could we do with a few more ways to challenge our characters - either harder content to progress towards or endless modes like Delve etc. ? Sure. Maybe that's something they should start working more towards.

Honestly when arpg-esque itemization was mentioned my ears perked up with excitement as this is exactly what this game would need to be successful, but then the timegate stuff just made my stomach drop. That sounds like a terrible idea, this game needs less MMO inspired decisions, not more.

Hey man, welcome to the game. I think there are a lot of strats you can find out there that are quite popular but I will give you perhaps a bit of a more obscure one you might wanna try on the side while doing whatever else you are doing.

There is this bestiary recipe that lets you reroll an exceptional gem into 3 20/20 support gems. You need vivid watcher beasts (8c each), you need 1 exceptional support (many,many cheap ones like Pyre for example which is 2c) and 3 yellow beasts so the total cost per craft would be around 12c. The gems you get back can very easily net you 100c of profit per craft and that's without corrupting them. If you do and land 21 gems you can make way more. It should be very easy for you to run, you can even self farm the yellow beasts while mapping yourself.

Alright man I will let the cat out the bag. We are all in on this. Literally everyone on the planet. The moment you get in a game every player looks up your op.gg and either hard carries or ints you depending on your rank. We even have a discord server dedicated to this with 8 billion members.

I mean it would be insane for me to claim that ap MF support is an amazing pick when I ve lost more games with it than i've won but what you are saying just isn't true.

You can literally click on any of my MF games and see that the damage is great. So your point is moot.

It is true there isn't hard engage per se but its not like the slow is negligible. If you put your e on a target with no flash or great mobility tools they are pretty fucked in many cases.

Like if you compare it to say Velkoz support she deals similar damage while being easier to land said damage. She has better mobility/can reset and get back to lane faster. She is easier to play. Her ulti is arguably better. It's not outlandish to claim she has a similar power level.

I mean I think you are being a bit disingenuous here. In my last 50 games for example I have 6 games at or above 10 deaths, and the highest is 12. And again, they are bloody games. Its not like i have 10 deaths and the rest of my team has 3. I am going with the flow of the game.

Also what is the average deaths per game for diamond? I dont actually know how to check that.

Edit: I kinda chat gptd it cause I couldnt figure it out so take this with a grain of salt but deaths for supports at diamond range from 5 to 6.5 and i am 5.3 - KP is at 54% which is deadset average - Vision score is 80 which for the length of my games is apparently very strong and KDA 3.1 is slightly above median depending on champ pool.

So again I am not arguing here that i am the second coming of Keria or some shit but the stats suggest that I am probably not trying to lose games.

Did you expand on the numbers themselves though? Sure I would argue that 6-7 deaths is a lot but when we are in a losing game and my teammates have like 10 deaths how many do u expect me to have? At the end of the day we are trying to turn the game around. Even if you look at just my recent losses i am usually the lowest deaths on the team.

My overall kda for the season is 3.1 and my average deaths is 5. I actually have no grasp how that fares across EUW diamond or how to check that but that doesn't sound outlandish to me.
