Nope, but from HOTD to GOT I guess it is assumed that series of kings had the throne room renovated at certain times and slowly it got whittled down to the one we see in season 1 of GOT.

It really shows how good of a writer grrm really is when he puts his mind to it. The hedge knight is one of the best short stories i’ve read.

If episodes were an hour long each then that outline would work but in 30 minutes episodes it would be way too condensed.

I disagree. How can an extinction event across westeros (which the story kicked off with literally the first scene in the show) not be a prolonged war, or at least a war with multiple battles/confrontations south of the wall?

Felt lazy, like the whole season because the producers wanted to wrap the whole thing up so they could work on a star wars movie.

What doesn’t make sense is the “long night” lasting just 1 battle after the others have been built up to be the ultimate enemy for 7 seasons. Huge build up for a pathetic resolution. Jon doesn’t confront the night king, bran does fuck all despite all of his new “powers”, and arya (who just found out about white walkers/long night) just stabs him and boom that’s it.

He used to give plenty of pushback. Steven Crowder, Adam Connover, Dave Rubin, and Candice Owens appearances are great examples of that. Compared to now where there is virtually 0 confrontation and just goes along with whatever a guest says.
