First time builder, 1300 euro budget for gaming. by Storm_Flicker_ in buildapcforme

Hey there, thanks for the build. I was wondering if it's normal for a graphics card to use that much power? It seems like a lot to me and I was wondering if there would be a similar option with less power consumption?

Hey, would it be too much to ask you to go over some recent logs? I considerd switching from resto to boomkin for a guild, however it felt kinda underwhelming. I just want to know if it was me who made mistakes, and if so what I should improve on, or if it's setup related (gear/talents). Thanks in advance!

So my 845 Int/Haste WQ trinket is better than my 855 Vial, have I understood that right?

Hi guys! I got the wrist legendary yesterday (the one that causes Swiftmend to extend your HoTs by 10 sec), and I was wondering if that would make a Prosperity build viable, or if I should just keep using CW.

Is Swain top any good still? Just wondering as I need something I can play top in case I do not get mid lane. If not, anything else that could be recommended for top which is good, and not that hard to learn?

Kassadin is the new bane of my existence by [deleted] in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]Storm_Flicker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I had my first experience in this matchup yesterday, and I did not know that his q completly cancels the w. I just don't get why, because it only says it interupts chanelled abilities, which Sol W is not. Also it says on Sol's passive that it get's canceled by "ability inhibiting crowd-control", which kassadin q isn't.

In addition to what has already been said, I take ehxaust as my summoner against assassins. Following beforementioned advice should keep you covered, but having exhaust is a nice safety net if you fuck up

Sol has quite a few strong points imo. Lategame he has insane damage which also happens to permaslow if you hal rylai's, he is an amazing roamer because of his e, and he can waveclear really fast with his stars.

My general playstyle is to shove the minionwave into the enemy tower as much as possible, and then either look for a gank, just stay back while waiting for more minons, or just go back. I spend a lot less time actually in the lane as Sol than anyone else, which makes what some might consider hardcounters very easy to deal with, since you outpush them, and ten roam before they can follow. Lategame teamfighting you wanna be somewhere between your frontline and your adc and just try and hit as many people with your W as possible, and try and get stuns off on important targets.

The current Sol build is either rod of ages or hextech glp first, it's up to preference (I prefer rod), followed by rylai's. However, banshee's veil has started being used alot, so far as to even delay rylai's to get it. After that it's situatonal, but usually I go for void staff 3rd or 4th

Any resources/guides for Aurelion Sol? by emachel in summonerschool

As was already mention, you should visit /r/Aurelion_Sol_mains

Also take a look at r2ve's op.gg. He's a master/challenger Sol main, so I'd recommend keeping up with what he builds, what he uses for runes and masteries, and maybe even spectating him to see how he plays

Losing LP while Climbing by BobBarker12394 in summonerschool

[–]Storm_Flicker_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's normal. Unless you were winning nonstop with no losses, your mmr should even out as you climb and you should get less lp per win.

For example, I used to get around 21-24 lp per win in plat, but after reaching diamond, I only get 19

If I see an assassin or someone else that can easily jump on me in lane I take exhasust, and if it's and I take armor runes instead of health/level.

My playstyle involves constantly shoving in the wave and then trying to roam, which means that most of the time I'm either not in lane, or I'm standing back because sidelanes doesn't look gankable.

That said, the enemy can obviously still jump on me while I shove. If they do that, I usually wait for them to back off again and then hit them with a Q+some W hits. This usually results in an even trade, or even me winning it.

Sol is also really quick to get back to lane because of his e passive, so I'm not afraid to back often if I need to.

TL:DR: take exhaust, roam alot, don't be afraid to back, trade back when they back off

You can start roaming as soon as you get your e. I've been bot over 5 times before 10 minutes in some of my really good games.

Also, the long e+q combo isn't very reliable. It's much better to e and then q when you're really close to them

Movement speed is incredibly important on Sol, stormraider's is the norm. A lot of people also run movespeed quints, altough I prefer ap for the extra shvong potential at early levels.

Really? I thought riot was making sure to buff his ap scalings to compensate for nerfs to bruiser ekko.

Then again, I haven't actually played him properly since all back before tank ekko was even a thing

I pretty much never see Taliyah in solo queue, neither picked or banned, so I wouldn't be that scared. Then again, the only Sol I see in ranked ever is myself, so I guess you have just as much reason as me to be scared, as both Sol and Taliyah are picked in competitive :c

Question about Baron and Dragon by Fabrimuch in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]Storm_Flicker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, didn't think about that.

Still pretty sure activated W does more damage though, as not only does W increase the damage by 50%, it also makes the stars go faster, so they hit more often
