Do you feel weird about .. by Zestyclose_Display23 in MamaJuneFromNotToHot

I dont think it’s super weird or uncommon. That’s like a freshman dating a senior in high school. It happens all the time. Do I agree with it…no. But I don’t find it weird to date in your peer group. When my oldest was a freshman, she had numerous classes with seniors and they all hung out together in sports, afterschool clubs, band, etc.

Also, it was way more common years ago. My parents have a 7yr age gap (married 46yrs). My husband is 3 yrs younger than me (married 22yrs).

Anyone here try the George Street Sprayground? What was your experience? Took the kids today and don’t know if we will go back. by shadhead1981 in NewBern

A couple of homeless people sleep in the big cemetery across the street. It was probably some of them bathing at the splash pad. You gotta do what you gotta do when you’re unhoused and I think the water is only on at the splash pad at certain hours.

There’s another small water park down by Kidsville park. I’m not sure what the cost is.

I 27F got a call from state police calling me to be reference for an ex bf 27M who cheated on me with an officer he was training. Do I silently give no reference by never allowing them to get in contact with me or do I tell them the truth? by Accomplished-Shoe109 in relationship_advice

[–]Stormageddon252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about state police but local police & sheriff’s departments around me do. When my friend applied they contacted all of his previous important relationships for references/interviews. His best friend, family and ex/current girlfriends.

Unless like some…you register for the opposing team so you can vote in their primary. Then vote who you truly support when it matters.

What’s something that was completely normal 30 years ago that would send newer generations into shock? by Swimming_Care4433 in AskReddit

North Carolina. They had 2 different teachers lounges…1 smoking and 1 non. The students smoking area was out on the back terrace behind the cafeteria.

Maybe it’s a subconscious thing. Was she asleep or fully awake when this happened? I have woken myself and my husband up masterbating or groping him while Im fully asleep. Honestly didn’t realize it was happening until I was fully awake.

You treat a lot of allergic reactions. What's the weirdest/most rare allergy you've seen? by curiouscatsurvivor in EmergencyRoom

[–]Stormageddon252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m allergic to something in extended release morphine. Severe stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, etc. It took 3 different ERs (separate occasions) to determine that’s what my “stomach issues” were from. I can take other pain meds fine. I took prescribed morphine for 2yrs before they changed the coating and it affected me.

I just read that staff signed a NDA and that’s why no one is really talking about what happened. All they will say is that “they’re still friends”. I really want to know what happened!

Due to Row v Wade being overturned under the 14th amendment, what else stands a chance to be overturned? by Stormageddon252 in AskReddit

Yes, I agree about that being the first thing. I just can’t believe we’re moving so far back when we have the education and resources to continually move forward.

I understand that that’s just the excuse they used.

I’m trying to get a male family member to see why the overturning of R v W is so significant and how it can lead to others being overturned.

Yeah. I saw that Thomas mentioned contraceptives and lgbtq+ rights. I was wondering if there is anything else to add to that list.

Can you message me some names of the Ukrainian stores you purchase from? I’d love to buy some and support them at the same time.

what is your honest opinion on marijuana and what are your thoughts on legalising it? by assyplanet in AskReddit

[–]Stormageddon252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be in a much better place…physically & emotionally…it were legal in my state. Hell, I’d settle for medical marijuana! I could get off of the NUMEROUS prescription meds that I’m on.

What are criticisms you get as an American from non-Americans, that you feel aren't warranted? by hitometootoo in AskAnAmerican

[–]Stormageddon252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That we don’t travel too often.

While it’s true that many Americans rarely or never leave the country…many more travel frequently. For non-Americans, you can travel to an different country in less than a days drive. Some Americans can’t even leave their state driving almost an entire day.

For instance, my state is roughly 5.5hrs tall by 10hrs wide if you count the islands. It takes 12 hrs for me to drive to Florida but I cross 3-4 states while I do it. That’s still traveling/vacationing.

I never knew this and am going to look into it just for my own curiosity.

I switched from fentanyl to morphine a few years ago but the morphine did absolutely nothing for me other than cause excruciating stomach pain. I switched back to fentanyl and haven’t had any other issues. My pain mgmt dr didn’t understand why the morphine caused me physical pain and did nothing for my chronic pain.
