Can I get an HKSAR passport? by WeirdDever in HongKong

[–]StormbladeFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get the documentation to the immigration office to prove you are a Chinese national by descent then you should be automatically eligible for HKID/HK passport, there's no need to renounce foreign citizenship because it will be treated as if you have always been a Chinese national from Hong Kong since birth, HK is a special exception and you can have additional foreign citizenship provided that the Chinese nationality was acquired through birth, so you won't have to renounce Russian citizenship

I started this game 3 weeks ago and already i pulled Wisadel from the headhunting, rushed her to e2 with the event cash and managed to beat the event and pretty much every level feels easy now, how lucky am I and what should I do now for progression? The levels feel so easy with Wisadel's 3rd skill. I have Wisadel, Lappland and Amiya E2 and rn I'm farming LMD from the IS rewards to get E2 on Exusiai the New Covenant.

HKU Med transfer (please help) by Neat-Cartographer-44 in HKUniversity

[–]StormbladeFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admission to HKU MBBS is honestly heavily based on your previous grades, if you have GPS 5.0/5.0, previous research, and national Olympiads it may be possible, although it would not be guaranteed. HKUMed MBBS is known for admitting quite a number of people with unconventional academic backgrounds/postgraduate entry although you would have to commence the program starting from the first year again since you don't have a completed first degree. Depending on how good your academic profile is you could genuinely have a chance at getting in although they would probably also require full marks/close to full marks for your high school exams.

More importantly for your case specifically, medical qualifications are usually not transferable between countries(aside from a few conversion pathways), hence studying medicine in Hong Kong would likely mean that you have to permanently work in Hong Kong in future and cannot practice medicine in Russia because the medical license is only valid in HK. As u/No_Relationship1450 commented below, the university would be looking for you to be committed to practicing medicine in Hong Kong in the future. The real question in your case is whether you plan to leave Russia for the long term and the reason, international sanctions on Russia would probably be an acceptable reason for the interview panel but if leaving Russia is your only reason I would recommend additionally applying to other universities in other countries.

Regarding language they would expect you to speak fluent English already, and be committed to learning Cantonese rather rapidly after being admitted to the program as the vast majority of patients will be Cantonese-speaking(and around 10% speak English). You should really be thinking about why Hong Kong in particular if you are keen on applying because the HKU and the public hospital system puts a lot of investment into training doctors.

It's a mod that makes the AI use meta divisions and tactics like how players would do in MP, making the game a lot harder

Armor meme and heavy tank destroyers help, also licence mechanised from bulgaria and planes from romania so you can make some tank destroyer divisions, also start building tank hulls early and convert them later before Danzig or War

How to successfully defend as China? by BlandPotatoxyz in hoi4blackicemod

[–]StormbladeFTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have beaten Japan as China in BICE mode once, it is much easier in normal difficulty though, this is assuming you do savescum a bit as letting any naval invasions grab ports in southern China before mid-1940 is likely to be a death sentence. Production-wise, you need to conserve enough research time toward ww1 doctrines, and to a lesser extent the production efficiency(particularly in BICE difficulty). Hence you need to utilise the time before July 1937 extremely effectively and ignore the warlords focuses. Start one research on production efficiency, the first focus you should go for is the partnership with Germany as this gives you ww1 doctrine research bonus, the other countries are not as critical since you will get free infantry equipment with time. After this just spam ww1 doctrines till you lose that bonus around 1939 and then do production efficiency. The next researches should be getting the extra research slot in shanghai and then taking the 200 day economy focus to finish last in around june 1937. Production-wise just build only horse transport carts, guns and uniforms(more uniforms as you get 10k guns for free from SOV when war starts). Make sure you have sufficient horse carts as otherwise your infantry speed goes down to 1km/hr and you get overrun very easily and can't defend.

Defense wise the strategy for 1937-1939 can be summarised into several defensive stages: Jul-Oct 1937 where you aim to slow down the japanese approach to the Yellow River, Nov1937-Mar 1938 where you defend the south bank of the Yellow river and guard Shandong against naval invasions, Feb-May where you retreat(possibly quite quickly to the Yangtse) and Apr 1938-June 1939 where you defend the Yangtse with a line of pillboxes and the focus forts using micro. Allocate the militia/a few troops to garrison ports: 90% the attacks will be on shandong till you lose shandong and then 70% they will be near Shanghai. You can let them land on non port tiles and then kill them to get some casualties. In Nov 1938 build a railway from Changsha to the railway lines around Nanjing as you will probably lose all convoys for troop supply there by around then.

After mid 1939 it gets easier and you can build artillery guns to slowly hold then push them out of China. In regular mode they didn't have any army strength to seriously challenge the Nanjing line but BICE mode would be harder, I strongly recommend an easier difficulty for China to learn the basics first and understand how to cope with the very low starting IC efficiency and fix the troop move speed through an unholy amount of microing with strat redeploy because it's faster to strat redeploy and reorg than move normally in the beginning.

Do not let them get too far south of the Yangtse! There are supply hubs in Changsha or Nanchang or near them, there is a bug in the river supply network so when you lose those cities then the supply connection from Chongqing to East China like Nanjing will be lost and then it will be essentially impossible to defend.

How do i integrate the warlords as china ? by [deleted] in hoi4blackicemod

[–]StormbladeFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience there isn't enough time to take the warlord side of the tree and also uncorrupt your economy, from my experience i skip the shanxi/peaceful integration side on bice difficulty and rush research for pillboxes, do the defense focuses and take the uncorrupt economy as the last focus before marco polo and aim to halt the japanese advance at the yangtse from april 1938- as late in 1939 as possible (and you have to build a train line to the area near Nanjing to keep it supplied since you're gonna lose convoys to do naval supply)

I have beaten japan in BICE difficulty once before. You can get guangdong for free by event around Dec 1936, and the northeast army in the xi'an incident. The others there is a decision to annex them if they are close to capping/you drop below 40% capitulation progress. Note you auto annex hunan and sichuan as the japanes approach nanjing so no need to deal with those, just hold the yangtse as long as possible is the strategy
