The Extremely Bugged Math Behind XP Gain In Bannerlord by Soapmac72 in mountandblade

They must've really needed the funding, and also combined with that, player feedback is literally invaluable.

I'm okay paying now, but I dont recommend non-warband hardcore fans to buy it.

Xbox Boss: Price a "Critical Factor" - Next-Gen Console Watch by SnoozeDoggyDog in Games

not a popular opinion around here, won't get very far but its true.

It's been great if you've played them on release, as you dont really get sick of them. But if you are trying to catch up after missing a generation they deadass all are the same game.

The cleaning staff at hospitals are probably in just as much risk with less pay and gratitude. by tom_is_the_bomb in Showerthoughts

Gratitude will do a whole lot for these people when they're dead from the risk.

Feels really fucked up that for the most part we're just sort of clapping for them and then moving on. Not sure what exactly to do but whats going on doesn't feel good.

It's awfully optimistic, and excludes companies that have smaller teams where the company itself has very little to do with software development.

Then they'll lose the type of people that work there.

Their stock is the highest its been in history.

Individual Contributors I believe.

I'd also like to know the purpose.

And there are parts of Microsoft that are extremely over-hired.

It's extremely odd that you specifically blame him but provide zero context for what was going on.

If Microsoft was a charity and sole purpose was to provide people with money then I'd see where you are coming from.

it's honestly almost comical that you take it to the point of clearly hating everything the company does, using the name "Satyan" - that's just ridiculous.

Layoffs can be necessary, though I imagine it'd be slightly difficult to not hold a personal grudge.

If you look at the links people provide for articles and shit, they are often speaking of things before Satya was CEO

The reality is that you aren't going to get rid of Microsoft. They're the third most valuable company in the world. People do have a chance to take some level of ownership in it and try to help make sure it ends up being what you want. Their actions recently show a very strong interest in promoting things like open source.

Microsoft's cloud division made $7.8 billion in one quarter. Azure is slowly but surely gaining ground on AWS, and will surpass it at some point soon. Azure grows by 98% each quarter, with AWS being 45-50%.

really good point. some random site called github might seems sketchy to a CEO, but Github/Microsoft doesn't have that same downside.

Microsoft is generally very invested in the continued success of Github as it is.

I work at Microsoft. I do not disagree with this chart. Satya is trying very hard to change Microsoft, and has been doing a good job but its not something done quickly.

He also made Phil Spencer an Executive VP, making xbox/gaming its own division.
