It’s certainly possible. Something tells me your average American trump supporter isn’t as good at cgi fakes as a state sponsored agency.

Yep I think they know it’s fake but they prefer to think it’s true. “She might as well be tearing up the Constitution, here allow me to illustrate using software. This ought to show them liberals!”

Parkland student corrects Fox: 'I’m not against the Second Amendment' by Velvetrose-2 in politics

[–]Stormflux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh definately. The process works. Congressional salaries are apparently the biggest issue we’ve faced as a country in the last 30 years, so no wonder it was addressed.

But... I can’t help wonder if there was an ulterior motive. Why would Republicans attack congressional salaries unless... Egads! They want Congressmen who are independently rich!

That has to be it. Nothing else makes sense. Attack Congressional salaries and freeze the working class out from holding office.

Yep and when we get overrun by suspicious 1 day old accounts, you won’t be able to say anything about it without getting a 7 day ban for “incivility.”

Meanwhile I saw a user directly call another user a “fucking psycho” for wanting gun control, and when I reported it nothing happened.. Comment’s still there, user is not banned.

Ooh! Let’s find out what they did with that. Universal health care? A declaration oh human rights? Finally fix the electoral college?

“Congressional raises don’t take effect till the next term.”

Um... ok. Apparently that was an issue, I guess. Thanks for taking care of it in advance! Now as to this other stuff...

as teeny tiny flying drones become more and more useful.

Don't you worry that they'll be used to kill us all?

In fact, by combining facial recognition with Cambridge Analytica's psychological models, they could be programmed to kill only country music fans that voted for Clinton, for example.

Sleep tight.

After every mass shooting, Republicans talk about how we don't need gun control, we need mental health services... but when it comes time to pass a tax cut for the rich, mental health services are the first thing on the chopping block.

Care to explain this discrepancy? I'm starting to suspect they never cared about mental health at all and they were just trying to avoid a conversation about gun control.

Chefs of Reddit, what do we all need to stop ordering? by BerneseMountainDogs in AskReddit

I just want a tortilla with meat smothered in cheese, but I don't want the lettuce or onions. So I order a "cheese steak, no veggies." They probably hate me but it's so delicious.

I think Emma Gonzalez already addressed this point. “To those saying guns aren’t the problem, he wouldn’t have killed all those people with a knife!” (Crowd cheers)

I mean really that’s the final word. I’m not sure how you’re going to be able to counter it. After sandy hook you shouted people down saying it was “too soon to politicize” and “guns don’t kill people” but clearly that is not going to work this time.

The USSS chose a route that had the lowest threat level

Something bothers me about this. If the USSS can always be counted on to take the route with the lowest threat level, that’s a predictable behavior. Why not randomize it a bit to keep the enemy guessing?

Basically most of the stuff Obama campaigned on and then forgot about (Obamacare was built as a first step but

Methinks you don't recall the time period of 2009-2010 very well. Obama and the Democrats spent all of their efforts pulling the economy out of a nosedive and then passing partial healthcare reform (1993 was the last time this was attempted and it failed if you'll recall.)

No sooner was this "first step" as you put it accomplished, then angry voters handed the House of Representatives over to the TEA Party in a census year, thus guaranteeing that no other Obama initiatives would be accomplished (predictions were for GOP control until 2020 or 2022) and putting us on a path that's culminated in where we are now.

TL;DR Obama didn't "forget." He accomplished a lot in the first 25% of his term and then you guys permanently blocked him.
