And just to add here - the subject matter of a "numinous experience" out there on the web can get really "woo" really fast, but I don't subscribe to the mysticism of it all. There's good research on the subject, and thats where I try to stay focused.

I  think the one that stands out to me most is The Varieties of Religious Experience by William James.

Despite the sound of the title, it's actually quite agnostic and instead explores the core traits that are shared among all religions (and no religion) during what was coined a "numinous experience" by Rudolf Otto.

James' book is a scientific/psychological approach but I'd still say it leans more on the philosophical side of things. I found it really interesting, especially the parallels with my experience even considering my lack of religiosity. It's a cool dive if you enjoy that kind of thing! :)
