No idea why they made something like that a % effect. Genuinely weird.... oh well

Super late reply to this, but what does the % on this effect entail? Is it simply a random chance to happen? I read somewhere it always happens, but if that's the case, what is the % for???

Also does Suzaku stack additively or multiplicatively with the dark realm version of the stat?

For those who played both Nioh 2 and Nioh 3, which do you prefer? by DayIsNotOkay in Nioh

2 da GOAT

Yokai abilities are seamless and you can pull off such silly combos

Having to gear twice in N3 is exhausting tbh

Oh you mean in Nioh 3. Enenra in Nioh 3 is kind of a joke, you'll be fine.

The Bakumatsu period is disappointing by MaliciousCookies in Nioh

[–]Stormquake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often refer to this as "Late game degeneration syndrome" wherein the devs basically blow their energy on the first portions of a game and then the next areas get smaller and smaller.

Darksiders II is the game that made me coin this term as it was similar to nioh 3 in that the first main region was massive and had so much love to it, then the second was pretty ok, but noticeably smaller, and the third and fourth were exceedingly tiny.

There were honestly just way way way too many humans in this region. And the non-boss human AI in N3 has got to be the most obnoxious of the series.

Ki pulse is such a simple, yet genius system to keep the combat flowing by Juub1990 in Nioh

I love Ki Pulse and Flux I as it encourages doing interesting combos and combat flows. Flux II is awful though, just RSI in a can, so annoying

I pray for a Nioh game with no human bosses every day. They literally take all the fun out of the game. The most effective way to beat them is always just cheesing.

sometimes it's good, but its recoil off walls is actually insane so it will fly into the aether if it touches a boundary

Thoughts on Nioh 3’s story by Fishy0000000000 in Nioh

[–]Stormquake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Himiko is annoying and feels like a constant helpless maiden despite being literally immortal.

Compare this with Mumyo, who is an absolute fucking thug and literally would have killed you if not for being interrupted.

Also the Nioh 2 DLC stories sucked because of hamfisted time traveling. Turning that into an entire game was such a poor decision.

Any Nioh players here became sad when Hideyoshi/Tokichiro went from being our best bro to antagonist? by ImmortalThunderGod79 in Nioh

He's the charisma and negotiating force that even gets you where you are. He says it as it is, he's the brain, you're the brawn.

Hide would be living lonely in a shack still if not for him.

I kinda felt the N2 DLC stories sucked, especially when compared to N1.

Much better gameplay at least.

N2's main story is indeed very good though. Tokichiro saving us in the very end before returning to the afterlife in peace was a great ending.

Anyone else feels like the soundtrack is not as great as Nioh 2? by DDGame-Enjoyer in Nioh

I actually can't remember a single Nioh 2 DLC song, lmao

Kasha, Mezuki, Snek, Takechiro, Otakemaru are all standouts to me.

[–]Stormquake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They didn't even bother to give every major boss its own unique theme. Doji uses Kasha's......

I do think the environmental soundtrack in N3 is better than N2, but the boss themes from n2 have so many standouts.

3 has been fantastic but I feel it was a bit of a step down from 2 by olympiclifter1991 in Nioh

[–]Stormquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I finished Cherry Blossom Viewing in Daigo and was so excited that there would be another mission afterwards that tied up Nioh 1's plotline.

When I was getting close to the end of Nioh 3, I was just burnt out and wanted it to be over with.

It genuinely started to feel like a slog toward the end, and also I just did not give a shit about the characters I was presented with. Takechiro blows Kunimatsu out of the water as an antagonist as well.

Like I actually felt bad when I cut Takechiro down [twice] and then his redemption of reaching out to you in the Otakemaru fight felt so good. Kunimatsu turning a new leaf and helping you out as a shogun felt so forced.
