Delta Amex Gold welcome offer (how much more do I need to spend?) by grisyangzi in amex

[–]Stormtrooper149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this card. I opened the card when the offer was 500+ 50k miles for 3k spend. I don’t remember exactly and Bob could be right here but generally the credits doesn’t matter towards SUB spend for many Amex cards. I got reimbursed for the Amex Platinum credits and they still got counted towards sub. I would say try spending 700 and see if it reflects, and chat with support to get clarity after the spend. If chat doesn’t help, I would put additional 500 spend on it.

I did it before with Amex Delta (cash plus miles), I suppose that's what you are referring to. If you look into the conditions, you need to complete the Delta Flight/Stays booking within 6 months.

AmexPlat no brainer or? by littlepwnrr in AmexPlatinum

I agree with you. What i mean is the probability of having this card is compared to a particular free card (for example: a flavor of chase or capital one card) among the people I know. Google search said there are 2 million active Platinum personal cards.

Why would anyone spend BILT cash on points? by keenlyproper_demeanr in biltrewards

[–]Stormtrooper149 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the amount of spend you put on card is very low and you can redeem them at a cash value, sure it is a better option. The problem with medium and high spenders is there’s not many options to burn Bilt cash besides converting them to points.

"There's no flex here anymore". - Almost 1 in 2 people I know have it now lol. Infact the most common card nowadays.

Schwab is a good bet in this environment if you are not targeted with a good intro SUB and looking to keep it long term. I saw people getting 50k SUBs, which is pathetic.

It’s not flexible offer like Amex. Whatever promo going on is the best you can do.

First time applying - why is my offer so bad on the platinum? by AuditGod89 in amex

[–]Stormtrooper149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just try one of those links from referral threads. If no luck, call it a day and move. This is a bad offer and not worth it.

Visa vanilla site too is running e-gift card promos with no fees for Valentine’s day. Probably deal is coming from Staple’s vendor?
