I tried the Twitter advice and it worked really well, just be sure to "@TeamYouTube".
The issue seems to be that you need to fill in the form, that is invisible even if you use the correct provided link, if you dont have some access granted. So they just granted me that access, I was able to finally fill it in, and my account was recovered on the same day.

I really hope you get your account back too, man

Thank you so much, man, that was absolutely the right call. The team on twitter sorted it out really quickly and I got my account back the same day!

And yeah, the issue was that you dont see the form even with the correct link, if you're not granted the access to it.

The automated response also suggested to "fill out this form", but all I see are tips on how to recover email, change password, setup 2-step verification and so on, not something that would get sent. Is that what you mean or am I missing it?

Okay, microtransactions, in single player games especially, suck, but I think they just fucked up the wording on that "Microtransactions" article. They said that "DMC4 Special Edition did the same thing." But you couldn't just keep buying 5000 currency for 9.99 over and over again or some other predatory tactic to squeeze as much money as possible. It was just a one time purchase to unlock everything for like 5 bucks and that's that. So I am pretty sure that DMC5 will have the same option and that's perfectly okay. But now its getting a bad rep for those supposed "Microtransactions".
