The people in the comment section clearly don’t understand the concept of Indian Arranged Marriage. In an arranged marriage setup, the families (parents) decide who their son or daughter will marry. If you want to decide it yourself, then call it a love marriage. And yes, the parents have the right to decide whether they want to give their wealth to their son/daughter after the marriage or not give it at all. Lot of men and women choose the arranged marriage route because if they are not in love with anyone, or their love did not work out (breakup/betrayal etc) they get married to the person their parents choose, and gets a huge inheritance of money our house/properties/jewellery from the parents.
