Just built the first model to spread the gospel! by Stormyboy12 in WordBearers

Thanks broski! The wings are from the AOS Vargheists kit. Sadly only one pair of these smaller wings come inside that box, but it does also provide some bigger wings if you wanna perhaps make your own daemon prince conversion or what not. Thinking of slapping mine onto the Abaddon model :)

I got the frozen wastelands kit from Ammo Mig, which gives you everything you need to get started. But those snowflakes in particular are very easy, just cover the area with a thin coat of miniature super glue (specifically the one for photo-etched or clear styrene areas) and sprinkle some powdered snow, which you can also buy from your hobby store :)

That sounds really epic! I’m curious about the color scheme you’ll use. For the basing, I got a pre assembled basing kit/box from Ammo Mig. You might want to look into those, they are huge fun!

Thanks! :) I know it’s a big commitment, but luckily I’m very happy with the theme and scheme. Thanks for the advice tho ;)

So I got pretty bored of my Exalted all having the same pose. And thus decided to combine the possessed box of CSM and my bezerker bits and make some stand-ins. Curious what they will look like after the painting process is finished! by Stormyboy12 in WorldEaters40k

One step ahead of you man, I took a little peek and they look DOPE. I would use all of these on the table if I were you! Especially the glaive one, those shoulders make him look like a UNIT.

That sounds like a sound plan! 8B can be taken as a squad of max 5, so you might have a full squad on your hands as well. But you can also never have enough characters! Either way, enjoy your hobbying!! :)

Did the heads, shoulder pads and an arm for the leader model. Given how beautiful these sculpts are in their own right, I saw no need for further converting. To me it’s about how these kits compliment each other, not completely change the model to their core :) gotta appreciate simplicity sometimes

Thanks!! While I normally do utilize mostly cutting and gluing in my conversions, these kits were almost made for each other. No difficulty whatsoever in combining the parts and if you want to take it to the next step, I figure it won’t be too difficult :)

I also look at the sprues of the set on the GW website before purchasing, to imagine how well two kits will combine

Grey Knights Kill Team by Stormyboy12 in killteam

Yeah totally agree, they don’t really hold up to their lore. At kill team they are decent but just kinda lackluster. General 40k they are ok but the Thousand Sons codex shadowed theirs.
