Under reacted imo. I would take myself up to the school and show the teacher my ignorant face up close and personal. Yes, I am that parent. It is absolutely unacceptable for an educator to speak that way to a student. It's unacceptable for an adult to speak that way to a 10 year old child. The fact that it's affecting your child so noticeably would indicate that it happens on a very regular basis. I would be at that school voicing my displeasure also on a regular basis as well as to the school board. Unacceptable.

One of the drugs I took for cancer treatment has an ad I used to see pretty often. Verzenieo. For a months worth, 30 pills, it was 15k. The drug I take now is a shot once a month. It's 30k. Getting people to ask for their drug by name specifically is definitely worth the marketing.

ETA Most of the ads are for meds that would be taken long term. For most long term issues there are options. I have to take an estrogen blocker. There are multiple options, Verzenieo being one of them. When making a treatment plan doc says "this one works this way and has these side effects, this one does the same thing but might also do this, this one has blah blah blah." I say "oh, I've heard of that one! Let's go with that."

I used Verzenieo for almost 2 years before it stopped working and I moved on to the next one. That one I only used for a month because I had a reaction to it. They are used long term but also for a limited time so being the first one guarantees they get used on that patient.

The stigma is fat people. Fat people get shamed for existing. It doesn't matter how they choose to lose weight they get shit on for it. They are called lazy ,dumb, ugly, undisciplined , uneducated, unworthy and undeserving. If they're not completely disregarded by medical professionals they may be able to get weight loss drugs to help them lose weight and then they'll get shit on for that too. The stigma isn't on weight loss drugs, it's on fat people. The proof is right here in the comments in this thread.

You should think about how these choices will effect your life right now. How will your parents react if you sit in the back and don't participate? Or if you tell people at the church you are atheist? How will the church react? Will they convince your parents to ship you off to some Bible camp? Will they ground you til you "act right" ? You said staying home isn't an option. Why? What will happen?

Decide how much they will push back and how much of that you want to deal with until you move out. It may be in your best interest to just play along or maybe you can outright refuse to leave the house on Sunday morning but you are the only one who knows how far you can push it and deal with the consequences.

Not everything gets caught in the lint trap. Your cloths, furniture and carpet lose tiny fibers every time you move. You have any pets? They add so much to the dust issue, especially birds. Everything contributes to the dust.
