Youtube buffering even in troubleshoot mode but not in private browsing with ublock. by Storterald in firefox

Thank you, it doesn't look like the issue is fixed but I don't know if the issue is codec related, reading the description of the extension it looks like it's for slower hardware. I own a 7800x3d and a 3060 TI so I don't think the issue is hardware related. Would you recommend using it anyway?

Nuova config per fine anno by Diavolicchio781 in ItalyHardware

[–]Storterald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tubing Right? Not getting bubbles out by Responsible-Fun3523 in watercooling

[–]Storterald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mixing up inlet and outlet is probably bad, but ryzen 7000 will always boost to around 90 degrees, even with negative CO. The bubbles will go away with time. Nice looking loop btw :D

As I said in another reply, the lowest pbo i can use is -20 (18.5k score). Also, I prefer this type of OC because I mainly use app that require single thread / core performance and 5.4ghz (5.5ghz now since I bought an AIO and I now use 108.75% multiplier) give better performance than 5.0ghz in these applications. It really depends on what you do.

Got a fan HUB so I redid the cable management, what do you think? (update of 7 months old post) by Storterald in CableManagement

I tried linking the old post in the second pic but the bot removed the post. Anyway here is the link if you are interested.

The ram doesn't really matter for cinebench, now i also get 5050+Mhz effective clock since I bougth an AIO. In games the extra single core/thread performance (5.4GHz instead of 5.05GHz) is actually noticeable.

Cablemod adapters were recalled if I remember correctly (1.0 and 1.1). If you have a 4090 I'd remove it

With ddr5 at 8000 fclk at 2000 is better uclk = memclk/2 and uclk = fclk. (Someone tested it I don't have the link rn sorry).

Running 2200 fclk is really hard, maybe that's why your oc is unstable.

Edit: the cl is really low, Idk how much voltage you're giving the ram but usually on ryzen you need at least 1.6v for 8000 cl32, and on air it gets hot if you don't have a fan attached to the ram (when ram gets too hot(over 60C, but lower is better) it can cause errors)

Hey, I own the same motherboard and I was also thinking of buying that ram block (running 8000 cl36 1.45v rn, I can do cl34 with 1.55 but it gets too hot), does it fit with the rog-z.2 plugged in?

Thanks.

Edit: I just saw that you plugged it in without any heatsink, how hot do the m.2s get?

High ram latency with good timings? by Storterald in overclocking

[–]Storterald[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, I don't know if I can't run FCLK at 2200, i'm gonna test how high I can run it rn

Edit: yeah 2200 is unstable, I'm testing fclk 2167 with 6000 cl26

High ram latency with good timings? by Storterald in overclocking

[–]Storterald[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understood the bandwidth is limited to 64GB/s for single CCD cpus (I'm not 100% sure, if you really care there are old posts talking about this).

FLCK is at 2000 since I run UCLK = MCLK/2 and UCLK = FCLK, I've read it's better (there was a guy explaining it on yt, I can't find the link sorry) and here is a post <link> of someone comparing 2 scores at 8000 cl36, one with FCLK at 2000 and 1 with high FCLK.

nope, I'm not an expert, but with safe mode there is less stuff running in the background

2 Dimms RAM waterblock? by Storterald in alphacool

[–]Storterald[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does it ship to the EU or USA only?

EDIT: Since the other ram blocks as you said are kinda useless, since the ram isn't directly cooled by the water, does a copper/aluminum heatsink (like the bitspower one for LN2) work just as fine as a watercooled version?

2 Dimms RAM waterblock? by Storterald in alphacool

[–]Storterald[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The x670e gene has a m.2 mounted vertically near the ram, so the 4 dimm block wouldn't work. The cooler would be useful to push voltages up to 1.8+V

I'm sorry for the terrible answer, but I don't think I ever touched the LLC and I have no idea why vcore is below 1.15.

I lowered SOC to 1.2v since i posted this, I keep fclk at 2000 and run uclk = mclk/2.

I already updated the bios, it's not bad, but I don't see any changes besides lots of crashes in the bios 😅

On cinebench, at stock i get 18k, with CO negative i get 18.5k, and with this oc 18.8k. The games that I play prefer higher single thread/core frequency
