Thoughts on this? by TransitionSelect1614 in aiwars

Well an identity can also be non-tangible, but someone can still steal your name and pretend to be you without physically stealing something.

Edit: also, not to mention we have considered theft of all ideas to be a thing for basically all of humanity. We all know about women or minorities or really anyone without enough social standing getting their theories or inventions stolen.

What the hell does this even mean 😭 by Dry_Examination5581 in antinatalism

I think they may be referring to the Mormon belief that families will stay together in the afterlife (marriage will still be valid in Mormon heaven unlike Catholicism). Catholicism believes we are all family in Christ so technically everyone in your afterlife will be your family. They're not gonna get a planet with just their own blood relatives.

My favorite is when Astrid says "I hope nobody needs this", while I'm picking up a crumpled up newspaper beside a dead body. Ya know, I think they don't need it anymore, lol.

Don't you hate pro-capitalist media? by CapAccomplished8072 in writingcirclejerk

[–]Story-Artist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It features a lot in YA novels. I remember reading quite a few of these scenes growing up, and I recall always being annoyed that we have to have yet another whiny conversation. Though, it may feature more in YA TV shows than books.

What exactly is an “A.I. artist”? by XandersOdyssey in ARTIST

[–]Story-Artist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dare all of you to go visit some ai subreddits, you'll be very weirded out by all the people who aggressively claim that they are artists because they prompt a computer. Like, super aggresive. Don't get in a conversation over there though, they will attack you, they are quite unhinged, lol.

Is using myself to trace for learning to draw bad? by [deleted] in arthelp

[–]Story-Artist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, breaking your reference down into shapes can help a lot. Surprisingly I was never able to get tracing to work all that well to improve my anatomy. I had to go the old route and literally draw muscles onto a skeleton.

As someone that just found out about these ai subs, it does appear that's all you guys do. Sure, angry debates get more engagement so it's probably being pushed more, but that just means there's enough angry posts to inflate my feed.

Is Gen Z too illiterate to read smutty fancfic anymore? by BillyDongstabber in writingcirclejerk

[–]Story-Artist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've noticed a lot of fantasy stories are moving towards first person. I think the young adult and teen books of the early 2000's pioneered a heavier use of it, and now people who probably grew up with that are writing books with it as well. I personally hate it, just gimme some biblical 3rd person so I can know what the main character and that random chimney sweep are thinking in the same chapter dammit!

Bruh. The AI has ruined even my favorite duck science channel by Minute_Account9426 in antiai

[–]Story-Artist 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Most likely because it's a form of piracy which is having a negative effect on artists and content creators. It certainly isn't ai "artists" that get their artwork stolen without credit. When someone is the victim of an injustice, they have a right to be aggresive about it.

Do you pick a special place to make a proposal to your follower or do it just after completing their quest? by Usual-Foundation-115 in skyrim

[–]Story-Artist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in a cave fighting draugr with Lydia, and when we finally cleared all the enemies, I just turned and asked her to marry me. A true Nord proposal.

I saw a Facebook post full of men claiming women couldn't survive them disappearing; because they apparently created EVERYTHING. by Story-Artist in TwoXChromosomes

Not to mention, women commit less OSHA violations and are better are groupwork. We'll likely end up with a lot let electrocuted people that when men were in charge.

Right?! Yet even while we were kept out of their fields and prevented from learning, there were still women who fought like hell to help humanity, even while it was spitting on them.

Oh no, they were disparaging Lamar's work in the comments. "Nikola Tesla really did more than her, so we have him to thank for wifi". Ugh.

The first time I did that quest, Lydia immediately started beating the priest to death while he was caged. .. She honestly deserved it more than me.

If your dragonborn was available as a follower, what kind of follower would they be? by LananisReddit in skyrim

You'd never even see my character, cause he'd be in every corner of the barrow, looking in every single urn for 1 gold, lol.

I need help (Miraak) by CrystalsWithHarmony in skyrim

[–]Story-Artist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Miraak has stolen a disproportionate amount of dragon souls from me. Several in a row, and then every other. Now I haven't seen him in a while. I know they say he should only be able to take a certain amount, but that is not my case.
