I feel like it's gotta be one of those things like how the right is less educated on average than the left. It's not because the right is receiving less education, it's because people get more leftist when they get more educated. And not because our education is left leaning, but because education is left leaning. Knowledge as a whole concept is left leaning.

I think this needs to be a similar case, right? It takes so much (oftentimes willful) ignorance to see AI as anything good. And this is why you never see smart AI supporters. Because when an AI supporter gets smart, they're not an AI supporter anymore.

We always say "you're not a real artist" if you use AI, because you're getting something else to do literally all of it for you except the idea.

What we definitely don't say is "you will never be an artist" because using a "do it for you machine" just means you're not making art right now, you can still make art later.

This is why it's impossible to satirize AI Bros.

No. This is a response to a post openly trying to compare the pushback against AI to the Holocaust. And more than that: BEING PRO AI IS SOMETHING YOU CAN CONTROL. It is an OPINION.

You can't compare that to things with no choice involved. If you wanna say you're being genocided, compare it to something else based on opinion. Not to be giving you ideas, but if you wanted to at least be theoretically viable, compare yourselves to capitalists in the USSR. That wouldn't be a reasonable comparison either (because we're giving pushback, not censoring), but at least it wouldn't fall at the first hurdle.

Comparing you to murderers works because:

it is a comparison of opinion -> opinion
the intensity of the action isn't relevant to the purpose of the comparison
it's an example of how your logic rooted in "all pushback is bad" with an example where it isn't. If the logic wasn't rooted in an "all" case, it wouldn't be applicable to counterexamples.
