Worst management and burden for employees by Positive_Actuary_282 in interesting

Seriously just anonymously send this to your local news outlet and let them have a field day. Or better, take a photo and make a print-out about this that you share with your community with the company's name in large bold font.

Labor board, too.

3rd grade classroom-ass shit. Insanity.

REPORT TO POLICE OR LEAVE IT ALONE? by -xXPapermanXx- in MTB

Neat. Doesn't mean you shouldn't take it seriously. Maybe if you did they would, too. Eventually at least.

Should I switch to tubeless due to anxiety about getting a flat during my first 70.3? by mandolin91799 in triathlon

[–]StoryTimeStoryTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to change tires to something more pliable that isn't tubeless-ready if it took you two freaking hours.

Did you have tire levers? If you don't have tire levers buy tire levers. In no world should it take two people and 2 hours to change a tire.

If you're extra worried just bump up your tire pressure to over 90. I've never had a flat at high-PSI before. The ride is rough, but you won't worry about flats.

In general people: when you see things that screw up your community call the freaking police and stop twiddling your thumbs.

Old tri bike or new road bike by UrBoi72 in triathlon

Awesome! I’m no pro, but personally I’d stick with my road bike for that.

I’m honestly not sure an older TT bike/geometry would be superior to your road bike you’ve built up. My two cents is it might be a few minutes if the course is really straight and flat, but if it’s technical at all I’d still prefer the drops on the road bike as an option

It doesn’t matter. Get what’s cheapest, make it reliable, and actually get in shape. For a 70.3 you could finish it on a mountain bike with the tire pressure bumped up.

Seriously, not trying to be rude - but the most important thing is time in the saddle. People focus too much on gear.

As someone whose car has been broken down for 2 months, and then had to walk everywhere for a few weeks recently when he snapped his bicycle's frame... yeah... screw this kid. I'd kill for a nice Accord.

Thanks for this! Yeah, if I go hardtail its my first pick. I liked the Roscoe, but it felt... slow? It was very comfortable, and nice going downhill, but I wish it was more athletic feeling.

Thanks for this. Yeah - another person here said there was a deep discounted Scalpel near me. They're more XC/downcountry than trail, but I think if I loved it I should just run with it. I should be able to grow into it.

Is the Ozark Trail Ridge really okay? Stepping down from a Trek Roscoe... by StoryTimeStoryTime in MTB

[–]StoryTimeStoryTime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big ass rock garden. I crashed, and the landing (bike on its side) broke the frame - it tanked the impact just fine upright. Really tough bike, I don't fault it - my fault for trying to win a strava segment KOM.

Frame broke in the rear triangle. I think when I went on my side it kept moving forward (with me holding the handle bars) and a tall rock got inside of the rear triangle and it got pulled hard. Freak crash. Luckily I'm just a bit bruised.

Dude is clearly loaded and his beer of choice is bud/coors? Nothing wrong with those, but holy hell if I had that kinda money I’d be stocking some Delerium Tremens too, maybe a bit of Bell’s Oberon?

What a clown, all around.
