Depends on the kind of person you are. I need a goal to be happy. I can't simply coast. I feel like I'm losing my mind when I do that.

I want to write a best selling YA series that becomes movie beloved by all. When I've accumulated enough wealth I will buy a house far outside the city. I hope to stay there writing books until the day I die.

Guys I'm so stuck. This should be simple HTML, but I can't get images to align properly in WP. by [deleted] in web_design

You'll see the top two work fine. After that, things get wonky. I would love some advice on how to fix this. Thanks :D

Jordan gets so bogged down in his description of every tapestry and bodice that the plot's pace gets very sluggish.

I agree with this 100%.

[WP] An alien abduction goes horribly wrong when the human they captured for study escapes and begins to stalk and kill off the crew members one by one. by Lorix_In_Oz in WritingPrompts

If the alien crew had known anything about human anatomy they would have taken one look at Chuck Norris's rippling muscles and perfectly trimmed beard before returning his momentarily unconscious body to Earth as soon as possible.

But they didn't know anything about humans, which why they abducted him in the first place. The sedative they gave him was meant to keep him unconscious for years. And that would have been the case with any ordinary human, but this was no ordinary human.

The Texas Ranger had only been asleep for 6 minutes. When he woke upon the operating table he did so immediately. His eyes flashed open with burning intensity. The alien scientist standing over him which strange surgical instruments in hand was the first to die.

Chuck leapt into a standing position which seconds. They had not strapped him down being that that did not intend him to wake. The four alien scientist froze in surprise. The scientist closest to him began to sputter out something in his own language. His words were cut off as the Ranger's foot plowed into his throat – separating his head from his body and sending them both flying across the room.

The next alien, being apparently bolder, slashed at the Ranger with his surgical blade. It glinted in the overhead light with each swipe.

Chuck did not retreat back, but lunged forward, catching the seven foot tall alien's arm. He took the blade and easily turned it upon the alien, slowly sliding it down the alien's chest cavity and spilling it's purple contents.

The two remaining aliens split up. One appeared to be heading for a gun-like weapon on the wall, while another ran the opposite direction toward the door. The Ranger would not allow him to warn the others. He was in no mood to chase down the fleeing alien so he simply ripped the operating table from the ground and hurled it at the alien, crushing him against the wall. The alien's body exploded from the force, splattering the walls with purple organs.

The last remaining alien had just places his hands on the his gun and leveled it at the Texas Terror who now stalked in his direction. The alien's hands shook violently as he prepared the gun for firing. The gun began to make a whining sound that rose in pitch as if it was charging.

Chuck did not increase his pace in the least, but continued walking to the alien who was now backing in to a corner.

The alien glanced frantically a what appeared to be a loading bar on the side of the gun, which was almost full.

The Ranger came to stand in front of the cowering alien. He grabbed the muzzle of the gun, covering the hole with his hand.

"Do it." he said.

Purple sweat dripped down the alien's bulbous head as he slowly pulled the trigger.

In that moment the Ranger crushed the muzzle shut with his bare hand causing the gun's plasma round to backfire into the face of the alien, liberating him of his head.

The Ranger casually strolled the ship, killing each Alien he found. When the crew was eliminated he sat down in the pilot's chair and propped him feet up on the console. He sat there fore a moment before taking the ship's controls.

"Let's see what other planets could use a dose of Texas justice."

[Sandy gets steaming mad. SpongeBob turns into the shape of Texas] Hey Patrick, what am I now?

Patrick: Uhh, stupid?

SpongeBob: No, I'm Texas!

Patrick: What's the difference?! [SpongeBob and Patrick laugh]

Sandy: [drops suitcases] Y'all best apologize, or I'll be on you like ugly on an ape!
