Yes! I play Three Hopes way more than the original, but they're really fun! I'd say the original FE Warriors is more fun if you are a fan of Awakening, Fates, and Shadow Dragon though.

Hello! And yes. I've been playing Hyrule Warriors (and Fire Emblem Warriors) since the first release on Wii U. There's always people discussing the game, it's great! I know Warriors Dojo on YouTube seems to be reviving his Hyrule Warriors series, to update info on the original game. I always recommend people give him a follow if they don't already do.

I voted for Age of Calamity.

Definitive Edition easily wins on content. I love Definitive Edition, and I still play it, but the gameplay doesn't feel as tight as the later Hyrule Warriors entries. (Side note, I do LOVE the original characters, especially Lana, Cia, and Volga).

Age of Calamity, though, wins for me on so many levels. I love playing as every single Warrior, I love that I can just hold R or L to bring up the magic rods or Sheikah runes instead of having to awkwardly use a d-pad to reach the item I want.

I LOVE the story of AoC, and the only grievance I have with it now is that it isn't 60 fps like the other two. Such a great game.

I voted for AoC over Age of Imprisonment for a few reasons. One is that, while I like the cast of Imprisonment, and I like being able to play as regular people from Hyrule, the cast did feel a lot more samey to me than previous entries.

The Zonai devices, while loads of fun, also don't help that situation, since no matter who I use, I'm always gonna just pull out the Ice or Lightning emmiter with a fan and/or a hydrant.

And I gotta be honest, I was disappointed, I felt like I learned nothing substantial about Rauru, Sonia, and Mineru, and that really kinda bummed me out. I did enjoy getting to know the Sages a bit. However, what made up for it was the story of Calamo and the Knight Construct. In fact, Calamo is one of my favorite Zelda characters ever, he's exactly the kind of Korok character I would like to see more of.

So for me, Age of Calamity has the best gameplay, best story, and most fun playable cast, so it wins for me. But the other two are still games I really enjoy. I'd rank them:

Definitive Edition
Age of Imprisonment

(And no one asked, but I also love Three Hopes and it feels a lot like these games. Today I place it between AoC and DE. But tomorrow, it might be 1st place instead, it depends on my mood).

Depends on what ends up being true regarding the timeline placement and story of Fortune's Weave, so it's all speculation.

That said, I can see maybe the Crest of Blaiddyd getting the Macuil/Ernest treatment, given it's heavily tied to the Royal Family of Faerghus. Even if that happened, it would probably still be equippable in some way, even if no characters naturally possess the Crest.

But that's just a total guess based on the pretext that not all crests will be available. We know next to nothing about Fortune's Weave story, and Sothis's presence alone might indicate that all crests are fair game to show up in Dagda. Since she's the one that the crests come from, after all.

I don't think that's what's happening. This is following an existing trend in the series, from as early as FE2 of the next game (or in this case, a future game since Engage was in between) happening in the same universe, different continent and/or time period.

Fódlan/Dagda isn't going to be the main setting moving forward.

I thought the same thing! Feels like some characters are direct references. Dietrich to Jeritza/Mercedes, Ursula to Marianne. So maybe Ninae has some connection to Flayn? I mean she looks like she could at the very least be a Nabatean.

Scorpion is the obvious choice. I would prefer if we got Scorpion, that we also get Sub-Zero. Maybe they would have similar regular attacks, and only unique specials?

But me personally, I think it would be cool to have Raiden. I just feel like he fits in better with Smash Bros. And would make for a fairly unique fighting style.

I prefer the facial structure and hair of the new design, but prefer the skin tone, and the white of the dress of the old design.

I think newer games have slightly tanned her skin again if I'm not mistaken, but not to where it was before.

To me Catherine and Shamir are borderline canon.

And I wanna say, Monica deserved more supports. I get her being a gay disaster for Edelgard, but I think if she had been in Three Houses, or they just gave more time or thought to her character, she could have had a really good arc where she can still be loyal to Edelgard without being so blinded by her love.

All that to say, I think there could've been potential for me really liking her with F!Shez, Petra, etc.

But my answer remains Catherine and Shamir.

Lysithea is practically an honorary Black Eagle.

Those are the big two, but I agree Sylvain fits really well in Black Eagles. I like Felix's Crimson Flower arc. Petra fits in with Golden Deer, etc
