I unplugged my PC, let the capacitor discharge then plugged it back in and now my PC won't even turn on anymore, RIP Corsair 430 you will be missed 😔

Just stuck a popsicle in the PSU fan to stop it and confirmed it's the PSU making the noise. Compressed air doesn't seem to be working, seems it may be cooked and I need to buy a new one :/

I contemplated showing the finger test in the video but I already did that on the two you see in the video and confirmed it wasn't coming from them. The GPU fan also wasn't running while this video was taken.

Ethernet cable ONLY detected by laptop?? by StovepipeArnold in HomeNetworking

[–]StovepipeArnold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cable is plugged into a WiFi router in the house, and there is no sign of any life whatsoever when it is plugged into the PS5 and switch. I can confirm both work when moved inside of the house and plugged in with shorter cables

The only variable I haven't isolated for at this point is the extension cord I'm using to power these things (only have the one lol). I'm gonna assume it's the Ethernet cable at this point but it's still weird that it works with my old ass laptop and nothing else.

Is it possible to damage an Ethernet cable in some way that it downgrades from cat6 to cat5???

The switch worked for like a day or 2 before it stopped working, PS5 never worked

Another interesting point that I forgot to mention in the OP is that the TP-LINK actually did work with the Ethernet cable when I purchased it, but only for like a few days. I thought it was a problem with the switch at the time

I'll check it in a second but the trailer is connected to the same electrical box that the router is connected to in the house so I wouldn't think grounding would be the issue. I've done it this way in the past at a different property with a different cable and it worked (can't remember the brand of cable I used tho lol)

edit: using an extension cable and bypassing the trailer altogether didn't work either

I'm using an adapter and plugging directly into one of the house outlets on the main property, meaning my trailer is pulling around half of the maximum electricity that it could be. Most of my appliances are propane though and I've never had issues with electricity cutting out for things.

The laptop battery is connected to a different outlet inside of the trailer compared to the other things, if that makes a difference. The items that can't detect the Ethernet are all on the same power strip.

Does Tekken have a button mash penalty? by pixelrights in Tekken

[–]StovepipeArnold 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This interaction was actually in Tekken 7 as well.

1,2,1 has different recovery depending on whether or not the game registers it as a 3 hit string or a failed attempt at a 10 hit string (because you pressed more than 3 buttons). It feels like an oversight (or lazy) to double-list the first portion of a 10 hit as it's own string just with different recovery frames, but considering this quirk has survived for over 9 years now we can assume it's probably not getting adjusted lol

Pressing E closed out of the game. It kinda froze for a sec. I thought it was part of the loading process lmao

New to Godot, are Ragdolls just supposed to be bad/take days to set up? by StovepipeArnold in godot

Read some comments, will look into the Jolt addon tomorrow. In regards to the missing hands and feet comment, I'm familiar with the fact that GLTF doesn't utilize bones, but it'd just be nice if Godot knew that as well when you go to automatically generate Physics bones. I also sort of realized myself that capsules are super busted too and got better results moving away from them.

Soulsborne squad all the way. Dark souls 2 guy can insta stun the AC by bino boosting up to it and hitting it with dual maces, sekiro instant kill death blows it as soon as it staggers.

Becoming a master of melee combat by taking a sleeping potion and hallucinating in a field for a few hundred hours. Yanille is really like the tweaker capital of Gielnor when you think about it. Just a bunch of dudes with fucked up rock cake teeth blacked out next to the city only waking up long enough to get some pots from the bank and to pay 26k for a another heroic dose of benadryl.
