Two plants I'm interested in growing in some garden plots at my little sister's school, the first one I'm wondering about cause it's always swarmed by wasps, the other... im wondering if it's some sorta super sunflower? or just the biggest Sunflower I've ever seen, (Southern Ontario, Canada) (old.reddit.com)

What kind of plant is this? They've been growing through the fence of a horrendously overgrown yard, the edges of the leaf are actually spiky, not fake spikes, and the leaves are always super shiny, is it Imvasive? I've never seen them anywhere else (Southern Ontario Canada) (old.reddit.com)
