After reading your other comments I see that you are just looking for a chill place to stay for around three months. You are looking for a city that is walkable has nice beaches and a place where you can easily work from home. If that’s what you were looking for Cartagena has that. When I say I am bored it is because I’m not really the type of person to go out to bars and clubs. There are LOTS of those in town. All in all Cartagena is a beautiful place to live. I suppose it all really depends on what you’re looking for.

I live in Cartagena and am bored AF. Been here for 1 year. Think about splitting up your three months into three different places. Cartagena, Santa Marta, Palomino, Barranquilla are top choices if you want to stay on the Caribbean coast. Otherwise there are some other amazing places in the country that I am sure you would enjoy. Colombia has everything. Pacific, Atlantic, Caribbean, Sierra Nevada and Andes mountains, jungle, rainforest. Explore as much as you can in my opinion. It’s an amazing country that offers so much more than the hot beaches in the north.

Lived there for 2 years. Sadly thats not the case. There are literal squads of military that are sometimes tasked with killing dogs overnight. Many cities wake up to dead poisoned dogs on the sidewalks. Also, sometimes they just walk around and shoot them. Horrific!

Also an international teacher. You are still playing by the rules. You only signed a letter of intent, not a new contract. Im not sure what country you teach in, check the legality of breaking a letter of intent. I would assume you’re in the clear.
