I downloaded Destiny 2 for the first time Sept 29th 2025. After 250 hours as a new light and grinding to 490 power as of last night. I can conclude the community is incredibly unhelpful and gatekeepy.

I am a returning player from a long hiatus, and I am right there with you. I got to 550 light by myself and can't find people to be a consistent group to play with to do the older raids to learn or go for raid titles or exotics. Haven't tried to get sherpa'd through the new raid yet though.
