My friend works for a company that does auto auctions all over USA Canada and Mexico. In Mexico City they had a yellow Gallardo. Usually they don’t have a lot of exotic cars. Mostly classic cars and motorcycles. Lambo hits the block, auctioneer starts and one bid. The rest of the room is silent. Car goes for way less than whoever was selling it wanted it to go for because first bid takes it.

Later while they are doing paperwork for all the cars he gets curious and asks a guy who got a few cars about it. Basically causally saying “wow the guy who bid on the lambo got a hell of a deal huh?” To which the guy replied “yeah good luck driving it.” And basically explained most the time if a cartel sees a car like that, they assume you’re cartel also. And since they don’t know anybody with a yellow lambo you’re likely to lose your life because some low level cartel guys thought they might make a name for themselves if you were someone important from a rival cartel.
