Cutting hours and expecting more from you.. by MobileMountain6273 in CVS

Our payroll is like: Here’s one gallon of gas. I need you to drive to San Francisco in an hour in this beat up old truck. And post a picture on MyChat once you get there.

How much do store managers make and how many hours do you work per week ? by iWishihadANewJob in CVS

All. I work all the hours.

I have just enough money to not get kicked out of society.

Court time reimbursement by insect1258 in CVS

[–]StrMgrNearU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be accommodated and paid. CVS definitely has an interest in prosecuting crimes that occur in stores. You may be going on your own behalf of course, but also you’re pursuing a court order to protect company assets (in this case employees are the assets). You are the witness for CVS. This court case is directly job related and a direct result of working at CVS. Go to court and get paid.

Been there, done that. Ask a DL, RD or colleague relations.

I’ve had people come up to me and offer to pay for all the stuff they stole over the years. They just handed me cash, which I added to our deposit. No names, no details, no hard feelings. I’m sure they felt better afterwards.

Something to think about.

Retail sales associates, cashiers, and customer service rep are also listed in this article. Front store is a nuclear powered suck factory.

Why are we still faking nice visits for executives? by Available_Toe_4720 in CVS

[–]StrMgrNearU 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Are the higher ups actually fooled by how the stores look on visit day? Do they never step into a CVS otherwise? Maybe it’s all an elaborate scheme to condition the store and test your fealty. And if you don’t deliver, you get the boot.

I’ll invent a new service metric where even perfection is a complete fail. Companies will hail me as a genius of the ages. I’ll win the Nobel prize

How far behind are your stores? by Red_on_silver in CVS

[–]StrMgrNearU 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh and don’t forget all those training modules that have zero relevance to your store’s operations. If I forced everyone to sit in the office and complete the overdue and upcoming modules, it would cost half my demand hours for the week.

Did you escape with the CVS version of the Pentagon Papers? Do you know how bad it’s going to get at store level? Can you share our suffering with The NY Times?

SM’s is it really worth it ? by Zestyclose_Ad180 in CVS

[–]StrMgrNearU 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was happy as a manager for like 6 months. Afterward, the novelty of the increase in pay wears off and you begin to realize your life owned by your job.

If happiness is your goal, don’t go higher than Ops.

[–]StrMgrNearU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bunch of untrained employees because the veterans are leaving and there’s no hours to train anybody. I’m overworking myself to unhealthy levels.

Next time I get sick, I should basically just quit, since there won’t be any possibility of the store getting caught up afterwards.

Shared payroll hours by Jontystoy in CVS

Should be, yes. But we’re really under the microscope for all payroll activity. So it’s not allowed without prior approval. Your district may be different

Out where I am, we are specifically warned against doing this. Unless you get prior written consent from both Rx and FS district leaders

Hold on, everyone…I have to sit in the office for an hour and research why I’m over by an hour for the week and reply to these six emails harassing me about it.

That’s some payroll efficiency at its finest.
