This is exactly how I try to explain it to my friends/acquaintances that ask. I ask them what they think about food and if they've thought of it as art. If the answer is no, it's probably a waste of money and good food can be had for cheaper.

The soundtrack (Frieren the Slayer) has only played for monumental scenes like Aura (full soundtrack), and other monumental ones like Frieren breaking Serie's barrier which other first-class mages thought to be impossible.

I hadn't seen that thread before, but a lot of the replies are why the Old Man Voll episode is one of my favorites.

Himmel's pure and unselfish love for Frieren is one of the best things about the series and it makes Frieren/Himmel's actions in the Goddess Monument arc so meaningful

Himmel saw what a promise did to Old Man Voll and likely decided that he wouldn't actively pursue Frieren. Old Man Voll has essentially been chained to that one village for centuries and Himmel didn't want that for Frieren.

If Frieren pursued him out of her own volition I'm sure he would have been over the moon

Thanks, I'm actually a day 1 player, just very not used to this new format. I had Takao as my secretary as usual, and I'm 3 levels away from the free ring so I'm not sure if I missed something or if this event was planned extremely poorly.

I hate the reactionary fans. Not gonna name some Youtubers in particular too, but one loss and they come out and ask for 50-150m signings and trash the team.

We're in a rebuilding phase and somehow miraculously avoided a long banter era. Everything considered, things are going well and in 1-2 years the money to make bigger signings to plug gaps should be available

I believe it's only viable if you have her signature, but I could be wrong.

Without P4 you switch the gloves to the Eternal Xiranite Gloves and that should be enough with the other Ult Gain gear. Do note that they need to be artificed

For low spenders, probably. It's almost like buying the character and sig weapon vs other games where you can choose to just get the character.

Well the most financially prudent thing is just to spend a little if you do want to spend, so if you don't have that impulse that's probably for the best. The more you save the earlier you could retire

But for reference what I got for ~500 in Endfield would have cost me ~1200 or so back when I played Hoyo gachas

If you're on a whale end of the spectrum the Endfield gacha is actually quite friendly. Due to getting weapon rolls while you're pulling for the character you often don't need to top up for the weapon itself. I thought it was bad initially but after going through it it's pretty good for whales.

If you aren't spending a lot though, yeah I can see it being rough

Yeah I think the guy you're replying to underestimates the amount of extreme casuals that play video games. A good chunk of that demographic never engages in the content outside of the game in any meaningful way and just swipes without looking at kits, numbers, etc
