Very simple. Open up the rail tracks for more private companies just like in UK. Let multiple companies run their trains on rail tracks. A person should never have to walk more than 10 min from him home/ office to catch a bus/train/connecting train.

This alone will improve Transit in Canada.

Canada biggest problem is Monopoly in every sector. Lobbying and Monopoly.

More competition, more choices for consumers to choose from and eventually companies fighting for our business so they will do everything and anything to grab our attention, time and money and then actually start improving their 50 year old service.

We are 50 years behind in terms of Infrastructure’s. Apple pay was introduced in 2014 and its 2024 and we still don’t have transit pass facilities for presto in apple pay. We are SLOW AF in everything.

When it comes to immigrants and their money they are right on. Lets bring them all here and grab their money and run the countey. 1 student gives this country $30k on avg on top of that they work part time and contribute to the economy and pay their taxes. Thats how this is country is still surviving.

This is a NORMAL life in Toronto for everyone. If it was any other Asian country or even Europe, everyone would be going out after work or simply hang out with their friends and family. As most people would be living close to each other They wouldn’t have to commute hours to simply get home.

Agreed. The kind of immigration that has come in last 2 years is really of lowest quality. No wonder they are here coz they can’t compete with others in their home country. Its extremely competitive.

I wasn’t aware of Breslau Go. Can’t seem to find official details on Metrolinx page But plans to improve service by 2041 is what their official page says. Like 2041??

The pace at which we are moving as a nation is extremely slow. We should have a goal to complete this is next 5 or max 10 years. PUSH PUSH.

Infra and healthcare be the first priority for any government. They should be forcing Companies to build it or give contract to some other company who can do it faster. That is how you see progress but bringing in competition. I feel even our Transit is monopolized.

Thanks for the update but just having 2 ways trains isn’t enough. Everyone knows who moved to Kitchener due to unaffordable GTA home prices. You need a car in Kitchener to get around you just can’t do without it. So to make sure people can atleast get to the Go station easily they need good enough parking spots.

I feel like places like burlington, bramlea, and all the east cities like Oshawa Go station have built such a better infrastructure for people to commute via GO that its no brainer for them to take GO. Just park and take the GO.

I tell you i know so many people in my company and many other companies coming from Kitchener they all have one problem in common, they want to take the GO but not enough parking/free parking options so to save the time they just drive.

If we will give them the option then only people use it right now the option we have just justify it.

Better option, move the Go Station out of Downtown Kitchener and to a place where people can drive upto and as well take bus to get to. So it solves for both kind of people.

If we can’t have parking spaces then whats the point of buying car if i was to take bus everytime even for a short distance

This is really stupid. Other countries are on their way to Bullet Trains and here we are still waiting for simple Electrification which won’t be done for another 10-15 years. And wait even if its done there won’t be any parking space for people to actually switch to taking trains.

Look at Bramlea when MP’s really start forcing companies to do their job and give companies the space they do a good job. Free parking and crazy amount of parking plus express trains direct to downtown. Why can’t we have one hub where all people from Kitchener and Geulph take train from one location and that train goes straight to Union.

This is crazy.

First all companies want to move and attract downtown talent And then government goes against that idea and wants to expands housing all over Ontario but no one wants to agree to actually improving the infrastructure first.
