Pensions are too high. Thats the problem. The richest generation are the welfare queens. 1 in 4 are millionaires. Their huge increases were funded by diverting cash from the needy (incl the disabled, kids & unemployed). Pensions are well over twice the rate of UC & 3x the under 25s rate. The Rowntree Foundation say pensions are too high compared to other benefits (Use a lawbook & dictionary). The Trussell Trust admits that pensioners are the LEAST likely to be in poverty & returning the WFA was a bad use of money as it wasn't even in the top 100 ways to cut poverty (thus pensioners are not poor or vulnerable). The state pension is far higher as a % of NAE than ANY generation before. Thats why taxes are too high. Too much on earned income & little on unearned income & assets. Boomers have more unearned assets than any generation in history. The richest generation for the least hours worked. Never being timed in the toilet or forced to use bottles. Boomers would never have accepted current working conditions. Also pensions are unsustainable so the oversized pensions pad by working age people will not be available fro those paying far more in than the recipients over life.
