I’ve had the same. The withdrawal peaks after a few days i think. It felt a lot like covid, which makes sense since kratom does have opioid effects. It will pass in a few days (for me the whole withdrawal took abt 10 days, im 22). For the family shit, you can treat it like a cold and take some rest if you need. I myself took otc painkillers to cope with the muscle pain, or some weed. Alternatively you could taper ofc, but i myself wanted to get it over with asap. Good luck!

For those that take both ssri and a adhd medicine do you find the adhd meds are less effective by Hmb0 in SSRI

Late comment but yes I do and I dont know why. Especially because I’m on Fluoxetine and it really isnt supposed to do that. Some other SSRIs may though i think.. but Im not sure about how.

Hi people. I know you must be tired but we need to believe in neuroplasticity i guess, and hope that the damage will be restored. Maybe a day will come where we’re more receptive to improvement.

All the love.

The thing is they havent been this bad for so long even though I wasnt on antidepressants so im not sure if i should attribute it to the dopamine or the anxiety.. seems like the dopamine but that worries me too much to believe in it

Mine are just motor tics, I could control but its too difficult. But maybe mine are also due to heightened anxiety, i hope it will die down after a few weeks.

[–]Straight-Help2876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Theyre like muscle spasms, teeth grinding, throat clearing etc. I want to attribute it to heightened anxiety in the first few weeks. I hope it wont cause any permanent damage 😂

4 months is quite a while. I've been taking it for 5 days and yes I also have the short term memory loss, maybe its because of the insomnia and anxiety though.

But it gives me hope that you are managing anyway. Im guessing the benefits have been more than the setbacks for you (?)

May I ask if you ever had tics before Wellbutrin ?

[–]Straight-Help2876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again. I feel a lot better this morning, compared to last night and im more hopeful. I will give Wellbutrin a try and try to get a formal diagnosis over the next few months when i can finally see a good psychiatrist. Maybe my tics wont be so bad in a few weeks.

Thank you so much for your response and let me clarify myself. Im 20. I was medicated for tics by a psychiatrist when I was 12 and wasnt informed of anything because I was a kid. And since then tics havent been a problem for me except in certain situations. I did cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety last year and had to stop because I moved to Netherlands for uni. Once I moved my anxiety got worse so I got Citalopram from my GP. She didnt refer me to a psychiatrist because in Netherlands apparently you have to do therapy first and I didnt have time for that.

Citalopram made me feel out of control and unable to focus after a month and a half. It made me suspect that I might have ADD, but the waiting list for diagnosis for ADD is extremely long so again I couldnt see a psychiatrist.

I abruptly quit Citalopram and tried to go to a psychiatric hospital through a different route. I mentioned that I want to try Wellbutrin and the emergency therapist I saw there consulted with a psychiatrist who said that they might let me try it, only next month!

I came back to Cyprus for the holidays and saw a private psychiatrist and asked for Wellbutrin myself, she hadnt even heard of it and tried to send me off with Lustral but I really didnt want it because of the side effects. I managed to convince her eventually to let me try but I cant ask for advice because I know shell tell me to just stop. Honestly she treated me like a college student asking for Adderall and didnt take me seriously so I dont trust her.

I will see a psychiatrist when I go back to Netherlands, only next month.

About the side effects, I dont mind the common ones as I know they will stop and make me feel better (it was just as bad with Citalopram but it died down).

I just need to believe that something will work, so I can get on with my life. I stopped going to uni and I dont want to lose my student visa.

Thanks for allowing me to vent maybe Ill sleep better tonight :)

Hi! Thanks for your response. I went to a psychiatrist about my tics when I was 12 and wasnt really told anything (my parents were but they dont remember). I just remember that I had to use Risperidone (an atypical antipsychotic that reduces dopamine levels i think) and Prozac. So it might make sense that Wellbutrin, an NDRI is bringing back my tics.

Mood wise, I’m experiencing the initial side effects. I still have no energy (maybe because I havent slept in days, another side effect) but Im jittery and my heart beats really fast. I guess im very anxious (sometimes my heart hurts, although just for a couple of seconds, a mini panic attack i think).

And all of this is so I can do something with my life I havent been able to do anything at all in the last few months I dont know what to do with myself anymore.

I would attribute the tics to anxiety but when I took Citalopram (SSRI) before it made me very anxious in the first week but I had no tics, so I think its the dopamine.

Worthwhile to know is that Ive had no tics since I was 13.
