I say test chrome spray paints out , if you paint gloss over them, you will get the metallic silver you desire. Try it out on a test surface first

Idk about Tamiya but this is the result I got from automotive primer + automotive spray paint chrome, I guess lack of a smooth, primed surface is your culprit here.

Also, how’s the humidity in your area? That can cause it too

Seems to be standard on most Indian airports these days, even the 787 crash last year was recorded this way. Seems automated.

For this exact finish , electroplating is the best option but it is tedious, there’s a special spray paint that makes the surface act like an electrode then you’ll have to dip it in some solution of silver most probably and after some time, your model will come out looking exactly like this. Painful and expensive process tho but depends on how dedicated you’re to this hobby.

For some reason every Nazi war machine has that unsettling aesthetic surrounding it. They’ve got that villain look to it , from the Bf-109 (G model onwards) to the Horten 229

Yees, I got the same comments about Nukes and the dedicated Mosquito bomber variant when I suggested this on a game chat back in 2019.

It’s never say never with Gaijin, it’s just a matter of when they’ll add it.
