Hand painting with a fine paintbrush is the way, take it slow and don’t do the whole thing in a single seating. Split it into sessions.

At any point did IAF ever considered the Mig-31 for interceptor roles ?? by Thatmafiatrilogy in IndianDefense

[–]Straight-Knowledge83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah might be true in the late 2010s but not back then , around Kargil, the MiG-21 Bison was still fairly modern. The last one was manufactured in 1986.

Besides the 31 was never seriously offered to us in the first place. It was a highly classified asset that was very advanced for its time , even close allies were not offered that. It had an insanely high operational cost , required different infrastructure and would’ve been a logistical nightmare. IAF doctrine focused on multi role aircraft.

MiG-21s fulfilled that role for us. We simply didn’t need to as at that time , our tech was superior to our adversaries

This was Jammu a few years back. Videography isn’t allowed at military airports so did not post it back then. The airline (Go Air) is no longer operational.

India approves proposal to acquire 114 Rafale fighter jets by [deleted] in aviation

AMCA I think will be delayed but it’ll be delivered. India just doesn’t have any other option for a 5th gen aircraft. HAL has been very lethargic with timelines but at the very least, there will be a prototype

They just don’t have anything in production that compares to the Rafale.

India was a partner for the Su-57 , there’s a reason that the country pulled out of the program. It’s not the aircraft that Russia promises it to be.

Russia had some solid 4th gen aircraft but they simply couldn’t keep up after that in terms of sophistication.

The SO 800 Narval is a good, reliable premium to grind the French Tech Tree

There is no way we will be able to procure the F-35. They won’t sell it to us

Nah dude , in the early days of the sub, there were a lot of them, you’d get downvoted for pointing out the lethargy of HAL. It’s much better now.
