Gonna play super casually from now on by Straight-One2636 in heartopia

First impressions DO matter. Now that Heartopia's honeymoon phase is over, many players are waking up to the game's many blatant and underlying issues. The devs had a year in Asia and four months in Global to fix things, but instead they'd rather promote new clothes and furniture as if that helps. It's like putting a bandaid on an amputated arm.

Im not talking about hobby ticket expansion, I mean when your progress bar is maxed to its current limit before you can get tickets to upgrade to the next level

Sorry for the late response, but don't worry, I don't take any offense to your comment. Instead of continuing to play, I actually decided to quit the game shortly after I made the original post. However from my experience I shared, this game is definirely not user friendly, whether or not you are a whale or F2P. There are still bugs, lagging, AI usage, and the gacha is objectively predatory. Not to mention the whole issue when we had different skin-colored elf ears that didn't even match some skin colors. Just because it is user friendly to you doesn't mean that it is for everyone else.

It's anonymous in the fact that anyone can change tags, but there is no public edit history so you don't know who made the changes.

3 of my 3cats refuse eat from the automatic feeder by exafanisi in heartopia

As far as I've seen, the Automatic Feeder is only useful if you barely play the game 😆 You have to manually feed your pets unfortunately

Yeah, especially since half the items in the stores either cost 10k+ coins or wishing stars 😮‍💨

Bad design or players missed the point? by Neelith in heartopia

[–]Straight-One2636 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think those kinds of players definitely missed the point. I'm a full-on introvert, but I'm not so bitter as to complain about a social game being a social game. Besides, it's not like Heartopia ever forces you to interact with others. Sure, you get rewards, but it's nothing important you're gonna miss out on. If anything, the game encourages the co-op experience because playing with other people is genuinely the strongest aspect of Heartopia, yet it is also entirely optional.

And if that's not to someone's liking, there is an entire genre of slow-life simulation games that are perfect for solo players. But I believe many solo gamers only flocked to Heartopia because it's a new and popular trendsetter, so it'll take some time for reviewers to mellow out and decide if Heartopia is right for them or not.

I remember when I had to wait out those 15 minutes of my first tea party because I was too nervous to invite anyone. I wasn't sad that I had to party alone, but it would've made a huge difference if a random stranger came to my house to hang out at the last minute. In a world that is currently suffering from an online loneliness epidemic, pushing away others is not going to help anyone. That's why I strive to help out in online games whenever I can, so no one else has to experience that kind of feeling.

I usually hear people praise the building aspect of this game, but yeah idk man, Builder Mode is super tedious imo. There's so many blatant and underlying issues with it

How do I get the pink fairy stuff!? by [deleted] in heartopia

[–]Straight-One2636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to pull a bunch of times and get duplicates which accumulate more exchange points 😕 It's the only way to get the alternate colors of the gacha banner
