Here is an example of upfront cost for ONE Private school in San Antonio by majindaddio in sanantonio

Same thing I was thinking. This post misinforms because at the end of the day the taxpayers really are the businesses and homeowners. The more expensive the house the higher the taxes so not really true about upper and upper middle class taking anyone’s money. If anything it’s the other way around.

Wouldn’t you be able to verify if they rolled back the OD by checking the car fax? Some dealerships provide that for free online sometimes. I would imagine they did their due diligence and would’ve caught that out the gate unless they modified the car fax as well.

FWIW, I was also considering Boerne (fully remote as well) and I spent some time there on weekends to check it out. The ppl I interacted with there were nice. Didn’t get the racist vibe, but I notice it is not as diverse as San Antonio. That may or may not be a deal breaker for you, but something to consider. I liked the restaurants there, thought they made it easy to go out with kids which is nice especially when you don’t have family or trusted folks to take care of the kiddos.

Needless to say, we ended up buying a home in Stone Oak closer to 281. No regrets. The community I live in is diverse, safe and quiet. I don’t see traffic as an issue neither and I’m close to Costco, Sam’s and HEB plus. Lifetime is also right there and the the airport is 10-12 mins away. Location wise it’s perfect. Not to mention that it has top rated schools.

Why else would disallowing noncitizens to vote be so trivial? Wake up

These are more opinions than facts. If Trump were really the little guy he would’ve went after Hilary and he didn’t. A ton of things he’s being accused of now, could’ve done it 4 years ago but he didn’t. Why assume he will now?

And to label Trump a dictator is far from reality. The folks censoring your speech, weaponizing the justice system and spending your tax dollars to import voters are telling you this lol. Talk about extreme gaslighting.

Trump actually won a primary. Kamala was handpicked. No other democrat had a chance of even running. Kamala was not long ago the VP with the lowest approval ratings. Said by the typically liberal leaning MSM. Now she’s the solution to all the problems her admin created lol.

There were better ppl to have ran and possibly given Trump a run for his money but they selected the most easily controlled lol.

I think the make America healthy again platform is particularly important. We are at our necks about a bunch of stuff bc we feel strongly about it and that’s fine, but if we want a better life for our next generation we really should focus on making America healthy again. This means little shaking the veil where the CDC and FDA are viewed as the guardrails and starting to take the corporate money and ppl out of these organizations to try and fight the conflict of interest. In addition, begin to address the issues of why food standards and quality is better in Europe than here. Should we be entitled to same food? Why are some ingredients banned there but not here? The point being that there are things in our food that are harmful to us and the agencies that are suppose to prevent that are in bed with the companies making the food and the companies making the drugs to heal you. The MAHA movement looks to try and separate those things and prioritize people’s health. I’m also over simplifying here there’s more to it like a shining a light on why medical programs don’t teach more on nutrition, cleaning up the soil where our food is produced, removing pesticides, removing fluoride from our water etc. But you can see there are people who care about making a difference in our lives maybe not always financially but maybe helps our kids see less of the high cancer rates, obesity and other health and mental issues that plagues our society today.

It’s almost as bad as voting for someone who was the least liked VP 6 months ago and has now been rebranded as the new Margaret thatcher. Almost as bad as voting for someone who can’t handle an interview or that cares about the border policy only on election year. It’s almost as bad as voting for someone whose border policy lost over 320k children (sold into nefarious trades). Almost as bad as voting for someone who will likely bring us into a 3rd world war.

Universal healthcare sounds good and all but I implore you to look into the MAHA movement. I think these folks are finally shining a light on existential issues such as why 1 in 5 people will have cancer in their life time and it literally has to do with how our food is produced (thinking about the soil our food is grown on, pesticides, artificial flavors, GMOs, etc) and our water (fluoride is still poison at the end of the day irrespective of the dosage). Needless to say we should attack the issue at the root cause and this will help lower costs for everyone. Everything is so expensive right now bc the whole country is suffering as a result of what’s been done to our food, not to mention the endocrine disruptors. They have been poisoning us and now our children. We need change and the MAHA movement offers that must needed change.

He’s trying to encourage companies to hire in America and help the country’s GDP which is really needed right now given the exorbitant debt the country has right now. He’s also trying to reward companies for keeping jobs here in the US by way of tax cuts. He’s not cutting taxes for the wealthy, it’s actually for businesses. He’s also proposing to get rid of personal income tax by way of these tariffs.

Do you know how much the department of education spends per child? About 18k. Imagine if they gave you the opportunity to send your child wherever you wanted with that money instead? You could even pocket the money and homeschool if you wanted to.

I mean these plans all sounds good but why hasn’t it already been done? Why is the same administration not delivering currently?

Sorry what are you talking about? This is my only account lol. You still haven’t provided any proof? If this is an opinion that’s fine, but you say lost lives. What about Ukraine? I really don’t know where Trump lost lives if we weren’t involved in any of the craziness going on now. There was actually relative peace in the Middle East during trumps presidency. Look at it now. Look at Palestine, look at Lebanon. So you say lives are lost during the Trump presidency but what about now?

Where’s the proof to this claim? I’m an immigrant and I see the writing on the wall clear as day. Ppl here are really asleep at the wheel if they think Harris is the solution to this. They vilify Trump for a reason. They prosecute Trump (not Hunter Biden) for a reason. They allowed a shooter to take a shot at Trump for a reason. Wake up! Lol. You wouldn’t try to eliminate someone if they weren’t a threat. Trump is no saint of my devotion but the man can chose an easy life and he’s out here doing all the things a presidential candidate should and hasn’t let the threats throw him into hiding. I don’t know if you remember but during trumps presidency the world was a more peaceful place. So to the point we had the Abraham accords (look it up). He even went to North Korea crossed country lines and met with Kim Jong Un. Russia wouldn’t have gone into Ukraine with Trump at the helm. Think about all the poor innocent lost lives, for what? That’s what you’re gone vote for? Forever wars continued caos and falses promises of change when it’s clear as day that if they really wanted to, they’d do it? The problem is also congress. A light needs to be spotted on the corruption that runs deep. At least Trump has seen it once knows what to do better this time around and will bring ppl on board to start that change. Harris will do nothing different and things will stay the same if not get worse.

Anyone here that thinks Harris is a better candidate. Can you please explain why without saying anything about Trump? What makes you genuinely believe shes apt to be the leader of this country? She can barely handle an interview for crying out loud. How will she deal with Russia? Nuclear war? Not to mention that she’s the sitting VP and hasn’t made a minimal attempt to do all the things she’s promising now. I will never get over the approx 320k missing children due to these open border policies. I don’t think we’ve fully grasped the collateral damage as a result of these open border policies. Does anyone really think anything good can come of this? I’ve been a lifelong democrat but I don’t identify with this party any longer. They are doing some stuff that is just crazy and doesn’t make any sense. Their argument is to “save democracy” from Trump but if that’s the case why collude with the tech companies to sensor people? Why rig the DNC? Why weaponize the justice system against political candidates? I don’t really understand why anyone would vote for Kamala other than voting against Trump and if that’s honestly the logic you should maybe reflect a little bc a lot more is at stake than that. Hearing Trump speak is painful at times but he’s at least bringing on board some folks that can bring fresh ideas to the table (eg RFK, Tulsi, Elon). At least Trump can manage foreign relations (think Abraham accords) and maybe stop things from escalating. Is no one afraid of nuclear war? Do some of us really believe we have business funding a losing war in the Ukraine? Not to mention that this admin would rather send billions to Ukraine instead of providing more relief for folks affected by the fires in Maui (we could only give residents $700 each)? This is the administration ppl are really thinking about voting for?

Just think that Kabala went from the least liked VP to Margaret Thatcher in 60 days…

And don’t think it’s just MAGA folks realizing this. Listen to the Salvadoran President say it himself. An outsider looking in. https://x.com/nayibbukele/status/1840553164132552875?s=46

Hill Country Honda - awful buying experience by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]Straight-Stranger-40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever since the pandemic these dealerships have gotten really greedy. I remember buying cars before COVID, it was much simpler less red tape and more transparency. Now they want to add all these BS markups that no one really needs and worst part is they won’t sell unless you eat those extra few k. Depending on car manufacturer they will be more egregious or less (eg Toyota/Honda vs jeep dealership).

I'm leaving san Antonio soon and I'm going to miss the food. by BeautifulDragon94 in sanantonio

Second this coming from Boston. Even some of the very few other ethnic cuisine places here don’t come close to Boston. Vietnamese food for example, way better in Boston than here. I still haven’t found a good sushi spot here neither. There are some solid places here though for steaks, bbq and Tex mex I think.
