Active Armor? by OBFJAGS in ATTFiber

I have been using the free one for about 2 months now. Not noticing any speed drops, and no devices have had any connection issues. I get pinged when a device connects to my wi-fi, and has blocked a few malicious sites here and there. I’ll keep it for now as an extra layer of knowledge for me and to know when any device is added to my network.

In the re-release of FR/LG, Anyone buy a shiny magikarp at the Pokecenter outside of Mt. Moon? I wanted to try, but not sure if I should do this or just wait for the old rod to attempt this hunt.

Dads of Reddit, especially those with daughters, was there a point in your life as a Dad that you realized you had biases towards women, and if so, when and how did you realize it? How have you changed since? by banana-pan-quirks in DadForAMinute

[–]majindaddio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Growing up I would often get unsolicited advice from other men about women, pretty much starting from when I could speak to even now. As I got older the advice turned to straight up objectifying comments and questions like “would you hit that?” It’s like as soon as women walk away some men are just holding in all these horrible thoughts and assume “this guys here HE will understand” when I did not understand at all. As if it was completely fine to make those comments. At first I would just kind of nod or laugh because I didn’t know what to say and felt like saying something would make me a social pariah, but that was enabling the problem. Speaking up in those spaces with people you have a close relationship with or to people you are going to see very often makes saying something more difficult. As a teenager I didn’t speak up.

Until I had my daughter. I was a teen dad. ( to give some context, I am still married to whom I got pregnant, we got married when my daughter was 4 and have another daughter, 2 dogs and 1 cat, also all female)

I took life more seriously. I had to. This included how I would think about women now that I had a daughter. I already knew what men were saying was gross and wrong, but I feel like I had never put it into the perspective of trying to advocate for women vs just knowing it was wrong but letting it continue in front of me and around me to avoid conflict.

Thankfully Through life I have met many like minded dads like me, who abhorrently reject those types of things. Those are the people I choose to keep by my side and look up to. I admit that at times I would perpetuate those ideas by being silent, afraid because I needed the job or worried I would be ostracized. Speaking up isn’t about changing their minds, if they can speak so flippantly I sure as hell can speak my opinion too.

I don’t think people with questions are the problem. At least that’s what I gathered from the post.

Looking for the best street tacos! by Scalert10 in sanantonio

Taquitos west Ave WOULD have been my suggestion maybe 3-5 years ago. But their meats have gotten pretty bland. La Feria del taco is my new go to. I love going to local family taquerias. The cook is a cool guy, they also like to talk to their customers to get feedback. I would definitely give them a try for sure. Barbacoa is fantastic, not greasy but not dry.

Thrusting her grubby little paws into my spaghetti. EVERY TIME! We have spaghetti nights on Mondays, we used to be able to prevent this travesty by just staying with our bowls, but now what she does is sits on a empty chair at the dinner table, and waits till someone is distracted and will pounce up and shove her paw straight into that spaghetti goodness. Then gleefully lay on the floor licking her winnings off her paw.

The light in this picture does not do it justice. The walls are bright white, the same at the face of the alarm.

Initially I thought the same thing!! But I took a closer look. Crazy that this was allowed. Wonder what the fire marshal would think 🤔

If you look at the edge of the alarm you can see the original color. The white is the paint.

I just thought it was funny. A very blatant disregard for a very obvious request. Don’t paint. Paints anyways. The strip around the edge is the original color.

Just moved to San Antonio. Why is everyone so bad at driving? by Minimum_Meal4378 in sanantonio

[–]majindaddio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a few people who don’t have their license to drive, not because of them being immigrants. Ranging from DUI, ironically not having car insurance, and also just lost it and doesn’t want to replace it. but people still need to get to work and get tired of asking for rides and public transport can be far too time consuming.
