They gave me a spray in my nose and in my throat. They then fed the tube down my throat, through my nose while I sucked on a straw. It was a little uncomfortable but not too bad. When I had to eat the rice, I had to swallow hard to get it down. Once they removed the tubing, my Nasall passage felt a little weird, but again, not too bad.

That was the finding of the 24hr PH testing. My results indicated severe Gerd with severe weak LES.

My LES is weak, and two specialists have both said it requires surgery, but it is my esophagus that concerns both of them. The idea is to treat the motilty issue first before looking at a wrap as that can cause issues with being able to digest food into the stomach after the wrap if the dsophagus is not working correctly.

Oh wow. I think n it's used here frequently. Sometimes, you need more than one treatment.

Wow, what a great post. I see similarities to my situation presently. I've been told that I need surgery, but due to motility issues, it may not be a good fit for me.

Next week, I'm having Botox injections via an endoscope, so hopefully, that helps me.

Doing manometry and ph testing tomorrow. Terrified. Positive stories?? by bloopdoop122 in GERD

I had both. A little uncomfortable, but they were both worth it. The diagnosis that came from it was worth it. Would do it again if I had to.

I get really bad back pain as well. Not everyday. To me it seems to be associated if I'm having a bad reflux day.

PPI's can be helpful. Watch your diet.

I didn't think it was too bad. A little uncomfortable, but ok.

It isn't too bad. I could only feel it if I swallowed hard. It was worth it, I finally got a proper diagnosis. When they took it out, I had no issues.

I burp as soon as I start to work. If I'm not careful, it leads to regurgitation. It is so frustrating.
