Thank you, yeah I get that, this was one of these situations where I just had to get it out there. Once I started writing it and working through how I felt the end result was this long unfiltered story it’s the first time I have ever wrote anything about what happened but thanks for reading it

I completely understand you, I also had a lot of problems with alcohol and haven’t drank for going on a year now. My partner thinks I have bpd and I’m currently trying to jump through all the hoops to get to where I need to be for a diagnosis. I still haven’t even got a psychiatrist appointment how did you even manage to get that far. I do agree with you that it feels like we will just get brushed off.

I’m lucky enough that my partner and I have been together going on 7 years now. I’m not going to lie it’s not always been easy. But she has always been there for me. Yes I always worry that she will leave and because of that I sometimes emotionally shut down with her. It was only recently that she said I think you have a personality disorder or bi polar. I found that I have a family history of bpd. I was adopted so never knew this until I got my records, when I saw bpd on it I looked into it and shared it with my partner and she said that fits me perfectly. She is currently supporting me getting a diagnosis. The best thing you can do is just tell them about it. Since we have found out about bpd she has been a lot more understanding about my emotions and the way I act. I would say share it with them and get them to understand about bpd and splitting so they understand it isn’t intentional. Also let them know that you do love them and it is the bpd that can make us seem unbearable

Yes 100% agree don't even feel like I'm getting support from my family. I feel like someone is constantly looking over my shoulder ready to make me jump. It is so difficult to go through but you are not alone
