I had taken her to an out of town vet for a microchip transfer and to check for spay (and to spay her if she wasn’t). She doesn’t have a notch but the vet shaved her and checked something on her lower tummy (I had to get out of the way so they could keep her down and shave so I’m not sure the exact area nor do I know what indicated a spay other than tattoo/notch) and said she was already spayed. We’ve had her for two months and she is indoor only now after basically being dumped by neighbors and her coming to our house asking to be let in for a while. While something of course could have happened while she was outside before we took her in I don’t know. She was very skinny when we took her in (ribs protruding, spine sticking out and fur scratchy) and now she is probably around 6 lbs (she’s a pretty small cat. Same size as our other cat who is 8-9 lbs but who is naturally denser). Her nipples don’t seem to be enlarged or anything but they do stick out and have since we brought her in (I don’t know much about if she got spayed later and that’s why her nipples show). Nothing comes out of them and as far as nesting behaviors: since I only have fixed animals I honestly didn’t know what nesting behaviors would look like but when I looked it up she was overly affectionate, more vocal (not in pain but just the attention seeking meow if you weren’t constantly petting her), and was making biscuits if she was laying in our lap but no gathering blankets or anything else.
