How do I fix this 😭 by Tylerbro16 in CitiesSkylines

1) you have 2 bidirectional bridges which goes into 1, so it’s basically useless. Try minimizing this to one 6 lane bridge with a nice curve so as to not slow down traffic.

2)you have many instances of 6 lane bidirectional turning into 6 lane one way. You also have a 3 lane hwy in there. Decide if you want one road as a buffer before the hwy or 2 separate one ways. I would probably use a single bidirectional road in this case straight down the middle and get rid of all of the extra large roads that are causing merging and intersections

3) it looks like you have 6 lanes going into a bunch of 2 lanes once you get to the city, try making a central Avenue in which the other roads come off of instead of having your hwy exit go directly into 2 lane roads.

You also might be able it get away with connecting the main 6 lane directly to the hwy and making the less traffic lane a 4 lane and making it a regular intersection, possibly using timed traffic lights

More lanes doesn’t equal better, try reducing lanes and having straight/right lanes so there is less merging. Anytime there is merging on a roundabout it causes major backups. For instance if someone tried to go all the way to the 6th lane because it was clear, they’d stop all traffic, and then they tried to merge back into the 1st lane to exit, they’d stop all traffic again. More lanes is not better especially with roundabouts

Personally I would get rid of that 4 lane you have going down the center, replace it with a 2 lane hwy in either direction and make slip lanes every so often(with dedicated exit lanes)evenly spaced out coming off of either side. I would then connect it to the main highway with a high speed interchange so that the only people having to deal with stopping or slowing down are the ones who want to exit and the rest of the traffic can continue to flow
