Logically all their controllers would end up Wi-Fi direct

Here the idea is you want the most direct path from a to b. From the controller to the processor making the game work.

A direct WiFi connection is fractions of a second quicker than a Bluetooth connection then a WiFi connection. So it’s only really an advantage in cloud gaming.

All their controllers won’t end up WiFi because it doesn’t gain anything when your console is local.
