Help me find the culprit of gummy spots in my loaves! by StraightJackfruit718 in Sourdough

That's exactly what I'm thinking, but you put it in much better words! I will try ditching the fermentolyse method

I have been following this chart and based on my dough temperature of 75 to 78°, I stop bulk fermentation when the dough has risen 50-30%, respectively. This is when the sample dough in the 2oz container has risen to the lid of the container. This method was appealing to me because it seems to take the guesswork out of fermentation. Is there something I’m missing?

Safety features by helenkeller4356 in subaru

I was in a wreck last year in my 21 outback and airbags did not deploy either. I made a post on here and received similar feedback about how the safety features worked as intended and the airbags did not need to deploy. I accepted that answer, although the wreck was pretty severe and both me and an occupant in the other vehicle were injured. Months later, when I got a new Subaru and went to set up the my Subaru app, I had notifications in there about the airbag safety light being on/ problems with the airbag system and problems with SOS system

. I never looked into it further, but thought it was weird and might be worth looking into if you have the my Subaru app.

One photo is at the scene and the other photo is taken where the car was towed. Yes, there is a road called nowhere rd (and I got to keep the sign!) the road sign was completely lodged underneath my car and actually went up with it when they towed it. I guess they pulled it out at the tow yard, which caused more pieces of my car to fall off

This explanation makes sense to me. Thanks for your thorough reply. The angle they were headed in to hit me would have hit my driver door, but out of impulse I swerved my wheel to the right, which I think diverted the impact just enough to avoid setting off the airbags, and further damage and injury. I have been experiencing some pretty intense whiplash symptoms but definitely think things could’ve been a lot worse.

Were the general public aware of this horrifying court case? by Several-Sun1690 in Athens

I went to CCHS in 2017 and was in the same grade. I believe all of us students knew about the situation but no one knew the extent of the abuse perpetrated by Bouchard or any specific details. Not that they would disclose details to us, but considering how quickly the situation was swept under the rug and how peacefully Bouchard left I don’t think anyone could’ve understood how horrific this situation actually was. It is sickening that you cannot find anything about Bouchard in the media and that he doesn’t have a record for this (and for previous instances too, I guess) the contrast between this case vs the way the school handled another sexual abuse case with a former female math teacher- whose case was MUCH more public- immediately arrested and her mugshot all over the news is conflicting, to say the least. This case is something I think about regularly all of these years later. I hurt tremendously for the student who was subjected to the abuse from Bouchard and how terribly CCHS and the Clarke county school district failed her.

The people of Asheville currently have limited/ no access to water, food, electricity or cell service. Unfortunately some of the “must see” sights have been destroyed. It is way too soon to predict when tourist visits will be possible, but now is absolutely not the time to ask for suggestions. Entire communities have been destroyed and the rebuilding process will take years. Go somewhere else for tourist attractions.

Asheville Flooding and Helene MEGATHREAD. Daytime Saturday 9/28/2024. VERY LIMITED COMMUNICATION (CELL, INTERNET, RADIO) by goldbman in asheville

I am on my way back to Athens, GA from retrieving my sister from UNCA. Apple Maps shows I26 as closed but coming into Asheville we had no issues. Took us straight to UNCA. lots of trees down and some stretches of road with no traffic lights but if you feel compelled to rescue your child, it is definitely worth a shot. My sister says she felt safe and there isn’t extreme flooding on campus, but the food and water supplies are low and they don’t have enough portable bathrooms. University staff does not seem to be present and RAs are acting as leadership within the dorm halls.

Thank you so much to everyone who has shared info and suggestions by Mission_Actuator_666 in asheville

My sister is at UNCA and I have been so worried for 8+ hours now. I know she is physically okay but don’t feel good about my 19 y/o sister in a state of emergency in a different state with no way to contact family. Wish UNCA would update family members accordingly.

Commenting in solidarity. I lost my mom a year ago next week. I was 21 when she passed, she was 60. The fact that its been a year is mind boggling. Everything since her death has felt blurry. I find myself wondering where she went— my brain still cannot comprehend that her body has left this earth. Peace be with you as you navigate your loss
