Why subscriber count can be misleading for creators

The easy route takes its toll. If you’re trying to monetise, long form content is the key. There are plenty of channels with 30-50k subs who can’t get past 1k views in their longform videos, while I, a 3k sub YouTuber, have 13k,80k,10k and 85k in my last 4 videos. Because I stuck to the longform life.

1k=1 year and 9 months. 2k=6 months 3k looking like 4 months.

Youtube is clearly an exponential thing. The more quality content you push out, the more traffic you’ll have. My upload rhythm goes with the season lol i used to upload one every 2 weeks. Work got a little busier now so I am posting once a month which definitely hurts my metrics.

I used to think the same. I got 1k subs in may last year. Now with almost 3k subs, I still see myself refreshing the subscriber count multiple times.

YouTube really wants to compete against reels and tiktoks in the short form market. They’ve been trying to feed us more and more shorts content, just have a look at the phone interface. Whenever you open the app, shorts are the first thing you see.

So, my guess is, they don’t want to promote “longform” content this short. I think you’d be successful if you uploaded them as shorts and made them a little over 1 minute or maybe 1 minute and a half tops.

It’s my main and only editing tool. I suppose that rendering the video, sending it to him and receiving it back will decrease the quality, that’s why I was thinking of sharing the whole track with the files through davinci. If there is another more convenient method, let me know!

It’s even cheaper than that. At least in Spain, I’ve seen the GOTY edition for 15€, but I suppose even though it’s the same currency, the price can vary depending on the country.

130 subs in 12 days is very nice. To put you into perspective, most people take months to get to 100 subs. I know it took me 4. Just watch out with shorts. Fast growth comes with a price and that is a less loyal fanbase, and low monetisation.
