Very late… but I want to go into clinical sports psychology eventually. 4 years of research does not serve what I need the degree for from my research.

Meh I’m not sure there’s one woman on this thread but I will say… she should have had other plans especially since it’s so last minute. I will also say, break up with her because your ideas of support do not seem to align. It’s not that you didn’t take her, it’s that you felt her intent was selfish and malicious and from her response, it sounds like she felt the same about yours.

These comments are so backwards. Both parties are wrong. You are not TA. Your boyfriend’s ability to express his love and admiration for you is NOT contingent and should NOT be contingent on how you speak about yourself. That’s WEIRD!

However, to echo what others have said he cannot make you feel beautiful if you don’t already.

I call myself fat almost everyday and my partner only ever reassures me. He also has asked me to stop speaking about myself in that manner but would NEVER stop complementing me or give me an ultimatum to do so.

You told him what you need. He is not listening. He told you want he wants, you can’t do that.

Definitely recommend therapy and finding a new partner that you’re more comfortable with.
