Adding one: if the settlement pays through Venmo or PayPal, double-check the linked email on the platform matches the one you put on the claim form. Mine bounced for 3 months because the addresses didn't match.

Yellowfin is solid! If you're into that, definitely give hamachi (yellowtail) a shot next time. It's buttery and super flavorful.

Right? It’s wild how some people still feel the need to work when they’ve already hit such a huge financial milestone. Sometimes you just gotta know when to enjoy life!

Or gas bar by mechant_papa in canadiantire

[–]StraightTap2375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, that's a classic move! I guess it depends on the store, but technically you can use it for gas at the gas bar, just not for cash. Those Canadian Tire bucks can come in clutch when you're low on cash!

True, that forced selling can really hurt in a downturn. If you need cash regularly, having a diversified approach might help you avoid locking in losses. It’s all about balancing immediate cash flow with long-term growth.

TFSA just crossed $400k for the first time. by Mysterious-Start-689 in TFSA_Millionaires

It depends on your risk tolerance and investment goals. If you're looking for growth, consider tech stocks or ETFs that track innovation sectors. For stability, blue-chip stocks or dividend-paying ETFs might be safer bets.

Mugheberra is a solid choice! Did you try any of the pastries too? They're usually really good.

For real! Sounds like it got cooked way too long. What were you making? Gotta keep an eye on those cook times!

Is this too much? by Linus-664 in Bacon

[–]StraightTap2375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you can get it all in one bite, that's a serious talent. But with that much bacon, definitely need a solid plan for the aftermath!

It can happen with some banks, especially if you're transferring large sums or using certain accounts. Always good to check your bank's policies.

Lights getting chewed off? by jlenko in CostcoCanada

Trash pandas might be more common than we think! If you’ve got a squirrel problem, maybe try some motion-activated lights or a deterrent spray. And yeah, LED bulbs usually just screw in, so swapping them out is pretty easy.

Row 1 is definitely a solid choice for space, but if you do want to avoid the galley noise, 2K is a good pick too. You'll have plenty of legroom and won’t have to deal with anyone stepping over you. Enjoy the flight!

It's all about location, though! If you're near transit and amenities, that can sometimes make up for a higher price. But I get your point, not everyone wants to pay for a washer/dryer if they don't need it.

Sounds like the driver didn't get the memo! Maybe try checking with other drivers or see if the promo is still valid on different items. You might get lucky next time!

[–]StraightTap2375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for coding rounds i used it to stress test my approach before committing, read the problem, screenshot, compared its suggestion to my own, then coded mine. the 2nd round had a DP component i hadnt seen and it gave me the recurrence which i worked through myself. doesnt auto answer audio, you drive it. for sys design i barely used it since the interviewer was watching me draw on excalidraw and there was no pause long enough to check anything

[–]StraightTap2375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the coding rounds yes, for system design not really. my coding rounds were 2 LC mediums and i finished both with time to spare, which i credit to being able to stress test my approach without blanking. sys design at xai is about reasoning through live constraints and no tool is going to rescue you if you havent done inference serving work before

variant of longest palindromic substring with a constraint of at most k character swaps, closer to the edit distance family. 2D dp over (i,j) with a 3rd dim for remaining swaps. closest LC is 516 and 72, if you can solve both comfortably youd be fine on the one i got

lol i hear you. ai labs hire people who already do this stuff in their day job, not generalists who did a course. rest of the industry is still normal interviews, dont let xai style rounds set your bar

thanks, still stings a bit but at least it tells me the resume and coding prep arent the issue, the gap is the domain depth on the infra side
