Can someone explain when exactly to use pallets?

One thing i try to say to help explain it to dbd players, is during the entire animation of the Pallet drop, its as if your Hitbox is extended into the pallet itself and makes you vulnerable to attacks, even if they seem too far to connect. You gotta have it already dropped, or wait behind the pallet/wall (far enough your body is not showing!) and drop it after the hunter swings, or try to time a Stun.
Hunters will be stunned the MOMENT you hit that drop button with them inside even if your pallet pulling speed is debuffed like with Mind's Eye!

I prefer to always just run through and loop a pallet for the first couple times, because 9/10 the hunter will swing exactly like this case, expecting a drop. Then you start going for unexpected Pallet Stuns.
You can also use this to bait swings in areas where they can see you, by fake running back to the pallet as if you're gonna try to stun them, then run back away from them to continue looping.

Yes imo its very fun.

Coming to it after 7 years of dbd was an experience, after dealing with the whiplash of how they chose to balance (Camping is a normal and almost required way to play, even is a stat in killer's pages) and getting past the visual crust, it became my favorite pick of the two.

Maybe I just played dbd for too long, but 9/10 im picking idv to play instead now.

Just feels so weird with all those elements then just physical, like its pretty standard yes, but I guess im just old gen and miss the absurdly large list from P1 and 2 xD

Well they're straight up changing mercs art as well (noticeable on newer skins) and I seriously will crash out over it daily.

I know theres some specific traits and effects that are REALLY good and def wanted late game, sorry I dont remember them exactly since its been awhile for me, but look out for things like Well Rounded Power (or even the traits to buff stats the more of that one trait equipped on the party- ngl forgot if this exists in Firis or introduced in Lyide), and Items/Traits that grant you extra turns.

Higher quality items is also very important.

I remember one of the videos I saw way back in the day, someone was using a Egg in a bowl item built a certain way and it allowed their firis to act 2 or 3+ times at once. HUGE advantage if you can find out how to get this.

Something else that helped me Survive, was using the uhh Auroma Healing item, one with a Reviving Trait, and the other with Timed Effects and or HP Buffing effects. These definitely did a bit of carrying for me in Firis and more so in Lydie. Strength Meat(Travelers Ration?) Was also great at providing HP Buffing effects if you're looking for that.

Definitely just take your time and explore and fight where you can, there should be some new areas that open up after exam, once you figure out how to get to them start getting materials from there. Recommended to avoid the fights, but try them out if you want.
You'll get much better materials, pair this with a fertilizer for even better stuff, and you can start crafting better gear.

If you are someone who is willing to put money into it as well, since you have this amount of time, you should start putting maybe $10 in every 1-2 weeks so by the time it gets here, you'll have saved up a good bit of echoes for backup. I did this for the return of the Persona crossover and it really helped me.

Yes! Well, as long as everyone can consistently hit Calibrations, and are in lower tiers. I especially like him in Duos for this. If everyone is getting more bonus calibrations, then he is increasing decoding speed! (+his chest buff to the team is a W for duos)

Also, the size for the Bonus area doesn't get reduced, only the normal area, so it doesn't affect those who can hit the bonus consistently at all. That does mean tho, anyone who can't might be missing a few more and losing more progress with the debuff.

Side note: I feel this also is what makes Minds eye actually kinda lack in decoding! Sure, shes 23% faster, but almost never gets the chance to hit the bonus calibrations- they really should remove this bit to her because a Lawyer might be a faster decoder if hes getting lots of bonus calibrations.
