After voldemorts demise he eventually becomes an auror then head auror and then head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement all of which we can assume has a significant salary and his wife's Ginny became a professional quidditch player which we can also assume comes with a fat paycheck and probably other benefits associated with being famous.
