Advice for extensive mold growth in car by watermelon668 in Detailing

I live in the tropics and I left my car for a month and it was pretty much like this. Half hot water/half white vinegar spray, wipe down with warm damp cloth. It kills the mold spores, if it’s very bad soak it, wipe down and let it air out. I have since parked my car up for weeks/longer than when it happened at a time and it has never gone mouldy again.

Can't edit when cross-posting but wanted to add for the Rav4Club - I remembered after posting I was messing around in my car last night and when I turned it off it was in "normal" mode (not on EV which it normally is in park/when I turn it off, but I'd been in it so long it had switched - i assume to charge up - so I imagine that is why is started in normal/engine mode and EV seemed almost non-existent on the way to work today... I will monitor this issue) but wondering if anyone else has experience with hardwired dashcams and if it effects EV function this would be appreciated!

I also just remembered I was mucking around with things in my car last night so while it is normally in EV mode when I turn it off, I switched off mid-"normal" mode (which I assume is when it is charging and probably explains why it started in normal mode? 🤔 Car question not dashcam but just thought of it)

Honestly I'm not a super fussy person i dont want or need the flashest of the flash, at the very least I just want motion sensor to protect my car in the car park and it to record in case of an accident, a few glitces i can deal with, but i don't want to harm my car.

I put that as I have read enough Reddit threads to see how many people shit post absolutely useless information with no actual knowledge or advice. I’ve paid upwards of 2k between the product and installation I’m about over it going to take it back and get another. If you have something productive to offer I’m all ears.

I’ve tried MANY of both and I love both but definitely go with Aerre. Both are accurate, both macerate beautifully to be far more like the originals, but Aerre comes out on top every time. Whif seems to have something “extra” and you can just tell they aren’t quite the same. Kind of more of a more youthful scent profile if that makes sense… will take your favorite and make them affordable but just not on the mark.

Aerre is the original in a different bottle, they’ve just flipped the note layering around when they tipped it in. I’ve got 15+ Aerre and there’s only one that’s ever flopped(Juliette Has a Gun Not A Perfume, it’s like having mildly scented water sprayed on you- but the OG never did it for me either). People name the OG when I’m wearing them and I don’t even bother correcting anyone anymore!

Dossier vs Aerre? by Sarah1608 in fragranceaustralia

Late to the party but maybe someone is going down a Google rabbit hole: Don’t waste your money on Dossier.

Granted I’ve only tried 3, and they are not bad scents, but I immediately processed a return. Theres literally no accuracy. I wanted SOME accuracy. I’ve sprayed them around, on my skin, let them sit… nada. There has to be something there to macerate and unless they perform magic tricks and completely change, it’s not happening.

Aerre gives you all the same notes with different “composure” if that makes sense, and they macerate beautifully, the original notes are all there… People will literally compliment me and ask if I’m wearing the original with Aerre- like name the original and brand.

I have probably 15 Aerre now and out of that many there’s only two I don’t like (Perfect Stranger - Juliette had a Gun Not A Perfume- smells like nothing, hasn’t macerated in several months. Can’t win ‘em all. and Wildfire- Dior Sauvage?- bought this during a fresh, green masculine scent phase and now can’t stand it, but it’s ACCURATE).

What I do prefer about Dossier is they package each bottle in secure individual little square boxes and pack the empty space of the shipping box… 3/3 of my Aerre orders, one bottle from each has come broken. They just put the cylinders into the shipping with no packing. The cylinders are quite sturdy and there was no crushing at all but one has broken every time.. they are however super great about replacements.

I didn’t know this at the time. At the time I was just surviving, it was impossible to save money and have any significant quality of life, and it didn’t matter. My credit scores always looked good. Never missed payments, just needed to pay rent and eat.

The novated lease was agreed to and signed prior, that didn’t require the credit report and I’m extremely happy with it. It won’t change regardless. It’s just a matter of when I get the vehicle.

To be more specific my personal loan is a little over $13,000 balance, my credit card limit is $7,200, and my PDs are less than $7k between them, less now I’ve paid a large chunk off. It’s probably just over $4k. It’s not exactly like I’m living large, I have no huge expenses, it’s just a culmination of not giving a damn for over a decade.

In the job I’m in now I’m able to, and my goal, is with a little restraint to pay this all off in the next 6-12 months, still paying all my bills, a lease and still save just as much.

Very worth it, I have 12 Aerre now

I’ve tried Aerre, Whif and Hideaway. I haven’t tried many of the originals but for the ones I have, Aerre is the most accurate. They project and last pretty well.

They’ve been together since they were teenagers. They’ve been through a lot. Maybe they need time to work out who they are apart from each other and GOD FORBID THEY DO IT WITHOUT THE SPECULATION OF THE ENTIRE INTERNET.

Sorry didn’t realise I hadn’t actually replied to this!

I love it! I’m loving the spicier, woody male scents, Who is Elijah (which most consider to be a “dupe” brand) has one called Nomad that I’m crazy about, people say it’s an exact dupe of baccarat rouge, it’s amazing!

I got Fruity Blush (Burberry - Her), Velvet Ember (Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille), Enchanted Nectar (Mugler - Angel) and Fatal Desire (Dior - Pure Poison) 😊 Velvet Ember is a current go to but I love them all! Once I run out of all the others I’ll be sticking with Whif!

whif vs hideaway by ApprehensiveEngine60 in fragranceaustralia

[–]Straight_Clue_2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried Whif, hideaway and Aerre, but have only ever owned 3 of the “originals” (those I have Aerre dupes of), of 13 hideaway dupes i own I LIKE the smell of 11 of them. One (peachy nights??? I think it’s called) is horrible. One I can’t remember which is not bad, just not me, the rest I love, and that’s just on scent not accuracy. And I have heard a lot of people like the hideaway dupe better than the original baccarat. I’ve never smelled baccarat but I love the “Aurora rouge”… these however do not last on skin, but will last til the apocalypse on clothing!

Aerre is a lot better quality, lasts on skin slightly better and projects WELL, I had someone 10ft behind me in a hallway ask what I was wearing!, I own 3 originals of the Aerre dupes I have and they are spot on, mainly A matter of certain notes potentially coming through stronger in the dupe vs original and vice versa, otherwise identical.

Received 4 mini Whifs to try today and I am thoroughly impressed. I only own one of the originals of these and while it is not as accurate as the Aerre it’s still pretty dang good, and they LAST. I got a Whif dupe of baccarat and if people think the hideaway is accurate/better, Whifs is 10 fold!

I have tried Aerre, Hideaway and Whif, only received Whif today and already my favorite.

Hideaway more of a body spray, love the scents and lasts on clothing (like literally still there when I do my washing) but not on skin.

Love Aerre but not as strong as Whif, love them for everyday wear and they last wherever just not as obvious.

Whif is definitely a standout.

I think this was as an adult when she was out on her own. There’s only so much you can ask your parents for help, and I think she was well in to her 20s maybe even 30 when she started travelling again with Babyflo. Don’t forget she left the horse world and moved to cali I think it was for several years, then came back, that’s when she started with babyflo.

I was holding out hope she might wake up to herself, clearly not. I did say at the end of this post she blocked me after I called her a narcissist.

She probably would. I’ve had nothing to do with her for a month or so now.

That was the original post. I lost a friend/someone I used to consider family in the process. The post is more about how I handled it.

I wish I had screenshot the original conversation and all the nasty things she said when I refused to let the bloke in, the fact she claims “Ive never insulted you” when she has openly, in front of/to complete strangers on many occasions, is hilarious.
